Most of them are stamped promos, it is possible that one was hand written rather than stamped. As for the sleeve, I'm assuming it didn't originally come with it, but you never know. I think you have quite a gem smiling smiley

I actually bought this on E-Bay last year. I believe it was listed as a test-pressing, but there was no explanation behind it. I hung it up on the wall and pretty much forgot about it, but remembered there was something special about the label. Once I got the camera going, I thought about trying to get more info on it.

Good to know! I was kind of hoping you'd answer. I figured if anyone had an idea, it would be you, since you seem very up-to-date on vinyl and other collectibles.

Thanks Senateguard33! If you should come across any more information, keep me posted.

^@gasbar Oh yeah? Quake, huh? ok...sure. Thank you for that.

07/12/11 6:46 PM

No prob! Glad I could help. smiling smiley

Quake score on vinyl would be so sweet, even i would buy it, would be my 1st vinyl haha

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Still on vinyl. That would be the best thing ever to happen to the NIN universe.

07/13/11 1:24 PM

no offense, but you, ishtmail, are wrong. Quake score on vinyl would kick way more ass than Still.

Agreed! AATCHB+Still in a double LP with grey fabric box(much like ghosts DE). And AATCHB and Still sold seperate with normal art. If I could say titty sprinkles on live TV I would be sooo happy cool smiley

You, sir, are the one that is in the wrong.

A 'Still' vinyl would in my posession be constantly on the turntable.

In fact, if 'Still' were ever released on vinyl, I would have to purchase two more turntables AND a second 'Still' vinyl, in order to have each side of 'Still' vinyl forever fused to its own turntable (while the third turntable would be used for other, less important vinyls). This ofcourse would also force me to buy a new, better Hi-Fi with more AudioIn jacks.

So, if 'Still' were ever released on vinyl, I would spend well over 1500$ because of it. I would like to see a 'Quake' vinyl try something like that.

oh, vinyl bootleggers should definitely take a note smiling smiley
i mean, neither Still nor Quake will get official release because of two dudes from Eastern Europe arguing about it.....

07/18/11 9:38 PM

07/21/11 11:18 PM

looking for a copy of the german pressing of PHM.....please PM me smiling smiley

07/25/11 12:00 AM

It was mentioned earlier in this thread that the red vinyl version of The Fragile was a bootleg then is the orange vinyl of The Downward Spiral a bootleg too? I'm just curious since before I purchased my promo copy of the album on vinyl I saw The Downward Spiral on orange vinyl on eBay and I almost considered purchasing it.

07/25/11 6:38 AM

all colored vinyls of NIN are bootlegs!

edit: except this one of course winking smiley

^^^WTH is that?^^^

I love random, unlabeled, stuff like that! AND it's VINYL! So you know I want it!

"TheNINCollector" ---> I have the orange pressed "Downward Spiral". I bought it when I first started collecting, thinking I was getting something rare and special...then I found out about bootlegs. However, I didn't pay anywhere near the $80, that the Ebay seller is currently selling it for. I paid a lot less...as should you if you're still considering it.

Another vinyl that isn't a bootleg is the 10" picture disc, "The Hand That Feeds".

Amen to that, i want that to come out as well as further down the spiral, those two are too good to not be put on vinyl

Second that. I hate having gaps in my vinyl collection eye rolling smiley

Dudes, start another topic for your dreams about unreleased vinyls, will ya?

//no offense to anyone, of course, but talking about something non-existent is weird!

I will allow any discussion about vinyls in this topic, including (but not limited to) wet dreams about specific vinyl release. Keep the pervy details to yourself though.

Witte, congrats on that snag. I'm envious, I trully am. Can you play it to check if it's the same as the retail release? smiling smiley

it's the only white test press (in the world) of HLAH UK 10" made by 'orlake' (UK vinyl manufactory) cat# 10ISP484.
@Isht: I tried to get it on my turntable (technics) but the hole is too small. Too risky ......
Anyway, I'm very happy to have this 'über gem' in my collection spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Hello once more vinyl collectors. I am really confused, by no means dissapointed tho. Went to my local vinyl shop browsed the usual N section and found Pretty Hate Machine on vinyl for £13.99. Now the last two i got were bootleg from him 'cus they were coloured, so i asked to see the record, it was proper black vinyl. But heres the bit i dont get. It was brand new, It is a reprint from 2011?

When did this get re-released???

I mean i know about the re-mastered edition..but this is an orignal PHM vinyl... reprint? Any help guys?

14 pound for a new PHM vinyl, i'm not going to complain, just think i missed somehting.

08/16/11 10:55 AM

Well i looked up, it is just a complete reprint. Took a bit of scrounging but i got there, its imported by the sounds of it. Doesnt bother me, still got me a great vinyl :]

08/17/11 12:02 PM

Witte: a good Makita with any proper-sized drill solves the problem. Just to make sure the hole will be the correct size, you should try drilling on a different part of the vinyl - don't go straight for the centre hole, because you never know what damage you'll do.
And you should make several holes, just to be absolutely sure the final centre hole will fit snugly indeed.
I would recommend drilling holes in a classic 'NIN' logo shape, so you'd retain the aesthetic look of this precious gem. For the logo to be precise, pen it out with a waterproof pen first. I hear pink is very popular color these days, but any classic fluorescent green should do the trick neatly.

08/17/11 2:31 PM

Ah right.
Thanks for the tips, Isht. Always enlightening!
I'll keep you all updated. Maybe some pics of the result soon.........

08/17/11 2:33 PM

it seems like you are discussing ways to deface a sacred artifact. what legendary NIN vinyl are you taking a drill too?

08/17/11 7:25 PM

The 10" HLAH test pressing listed above. The hole can be enlarged, but I think they are joking about drilling a logo into it winking smiley

I agree with you 100% on that, i have my collection on display in my room but something just goes on in my head where i don't see the NIN albums i do have but the albums i don't have on display. Excited though, my next purchase will be Things Falling Apart!

08/18/11 7:00 AM

so...theoretically, that HLAH test pressing could potentially be anything since it currently is not able to play on a normal turntable, and he has to enlarge the hole to be able to play to confirm that it actually is HLAH and not Pat Benatar or something?

I hope it is HLAH

08/18/11 11:37 AM

just sharpen the spindle and no need to drill the vinyl
