ohk cool thnx! i came accross this australian website for a store that only sells Vinyls and have quite a few nin vinyls to order and differnt releases of some vinyls.

as stated above, red eye doesn't only sell vinyl.
and don't go by what they have listed on their site, because a lot of the stuff they cant get a hold of.
you're better off going into the store and checking what they have

I haven't seen any info on this MARILYN MANSON & NINE INCH NAILS split 2×7" ltd BOX as a numbered limited ed set and am curious if it is an official release and if it should be on the hunt list

Hi,

So I've been trying to hunt down The Fragile lp and have finally found one and I'm |----| this close to getting it. I'm going to give it as a gift. I was wondering if you have any ideas on what frame I should get to display them? I would prefer to show all three lps and the cover. Or perhaps I should just hand it to them and let them decide if they want to play it or frame it? Let me know your ideas/opinions. Thanks !

So ive managed to come across a Fragile, still sealed. Im torn as to what to do with it...I love NIN, but there are bands I do like slightly more and feel i could make a trade for 1 of em...or a couple. So im throwing it out here...if anyone has an Eddie Vedder "Into the Wild" vinyl, sealed or not, or any other Pearl Jam vinyls, i may be willing to work a deal out.

Giving someone an original copy of TF is a pretty nice gift in general. Depends on what kind of reaction you're looking for. I vote just give it to them. If you think they might want to frame it mention that you'll pitch in with the cost and you can both collaborate on the design of the frame.

If we do go with the framing idea do you have any suggestions? I'm not sure how to arrange it or where to go as this is my first experience with vinyl. Thanks

can anyone suggest an online source for buying a record storage case? or recommend a decent case? I'd like something more permanent than just having them propped up against something atm...

www.bagsunlimited.com

They have a plethora of storage options. Outside of getting a bookshelf-style unit to put the records in.

Can't really recommend any specific method of framing the vinyls themselves. I've always just gone the route of framing the cover. I've taken them all out of the frames until I have a more permanent location. Try looking for a RIAA Award you like

I prefer this one

Bags Unlimited is great. My only problem - they ship their stuff to Hungary for a relatively high price.

Just bought my very first vinyl ever! Year Zero! I originally bought TDS, but both records were warped, so I traded them in for YZ.

I had a pretty hot wet dream once, which included a triple 180g deluxe edition vinyl of AATCHB, with the Live album on the first 2 vinyls and Still on the third. When I woke up, it was pretty messy.

ive also had dreams about halo collections. I remember dreaming about the FDTS tin. Then I dreamt about the staircase at the New Orleans studio and I met Trent and woke up. I think I got to drop off one of my bands demos....

Hi all - Could someone do the following for a brother to help them know if they've been screwed over?

Can some post the back of their-original-and-know-it's-real The Fragile vinyl... as in, not the inside of the gatefold, but the reverse of it.

Because the one I've just got, doesn't look like this one.

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a14/orgelallan/IMG_0947.jpg

It has the 'sticker' on the back of the gatefold, but worked into the design. Obviously, there is no sticker in sight, and the sleeves don't say 'nothing' on them.

Could the knowledge bods here confirm if I've been screwed? And the records sound very treble end high. It has all the correct catalogue numbers - but I guess that's not an indication.

EDIT - OK, now I'm confused. I think I have been sent this one.

Clicky

Except mine is without the Island logo on the actual records themselves.

Very confused.

^^ normally if the "sticker" on the back indeed is worked into the design and it has the cat# 490 473-1 LC 06406, it's the famous bootleg they're selling for about a year now. sorry pal.

Same here yesterday!
I've got TDS and TS on vinyl, too, and am expecting the moment when I'll listen to those.

Got in to vinyl recently and picked up TDS, Year Zero, and The Slip. Now on to the more expensive ones...

It's fun just kicking back, listening to good music, and watching the record spin. I don't get the same vibe listening to a CD or iTunes.

^Plus you get a richer, fuller sound on vinyl. CDs (mp3s trim even more) tend to trim certain frequencies due to the sample rate (think widescreen vs fullscreen here) plus you have album art that is bigger than your head. Bottom line is the lowend and highend frequencies are present on vinyl, meaning bassier and richer sounds.

The huge album art is probably my favorite thing about vinyl. The sound is great too. Just the whole vinyl "experience" puts a smile on my face.
