If there was one Film I had to pick out this past year that really stood out from the rest, it's most definitely Gaspar Noe's psychedelic-existential film Enter The Void. I just really connected to the experience as a whole. The (Full Director's Cut) DVD is available now and is also on Netflix, if you enjoy surrealistic-art; this is most definitely for you.

Just saw this last night with a buddy stoned out of our minds. WOW. Talk about intense. A beautifully done movie. Definitely could have cut out at least a half hour of it though.

^Awesome dude...Gaspar Noe did say that the film is inspired by drugs and is made for people who take drugs. HAHA.
Now you need to see Alejandro Jodorowsky's The Holy Mountain; That's the Ultimate Trip on Film!

I loved the documentaries with Trent and Atticuss, I would like to see more of this kind of thing. In fact, if there was something like that for The Fragile release that would be AWESOME. I'm also enjoying the commentary with Jesse Eisenberg and co. I rarely watch dvd comentaries but I should probably do it more often.

I am hoping to buy The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo soon; I have heard it is very good.

Today I bought "The Social Network", $18 Australian from JB HiFi. It's a 2 disc dvd with lots of extras.

03/11/11 5:00 AM

Not a dvd, a vhs purchased second-hand. Not a movie, two episodes of a series. "The Crow: Stairway To Heaven" volume three "Double Take" and "Give Me Death". I do not expect it to be anywhere near the quality of the movie, but like I said, I bought it second-hand for the princely sum of $1 Australian, so if it turns out to be an absolute dud, it's no great monetary loss, and I'll keep it as a curiosity.

"Good".

"'Good' stars Oscar nominee Viggo Mortensen as John Halder, a German literature professor in the 1930s, who is reluctant at first to accept the ideas of the Nazi Party.

Pulled in different emotional directions by not only his wife, but by his mother, his mistress and his Jewish friend, eventually Halder gives in to Nazism and becomes employed by the Party. As he moves up the Nazi ranks, his seemingly inconsequential decisions potentially jeopadize the people in his life with devastating effects. Selected for the 2008 Toronto Film Festival and featuring a masterful central performance from Mortensen, 'Good' is a powerful drama about choices, friendship and loyalty."

I saw this movie for sale at Aldi today for the princely sum of $4.99 Australian, I read the blurb^^ and it sounded interesting, so I bought it. Haven't watched it yet, but I think it should be a good one.
