Ironically, it seems the nearly glacial pace of the initial six episodes was the doing of ousted show creator/produce, Frank Darabont. So that was surprising. New showrunner Glen Mazzara has ratcheted up the pace since the show's return. Things just dragged on too fucking long, w/ the absurdly drawn out search for Sophia, that never went anywhere. The opening scene of the most recent episode, w/ Rick confronting Shane right off the get go about what Lori told him, was AWESOME. No bullshit, no spending half the runtime stewing in silence. Hitting the ground running, that's more like it. All the women of the cast continue to completely suck, which is unbelievably frustrating when you know how fucking hardcore some of them are in the comic. What they've done to Andrea... She's NOTHING like the pouting bitch she is in the show. She's fucking unrecognizable the way she is now. But the women as a whole really need some improvement. I shudder to think what might become of Michonne. On the whole, though, much of the disappointment I felt in the 1st half is fading. Hope they can keep it up.

I feel like the first half was agonizing because they were looking for this little girl that we all knew wouldn't be found. But I didn't think she was in the barn, which caught me off guard. I like that things seem to be picking up as well. The first few episodes, though kind of boring, were interesting looks into the different characters, which I didn't mind too much. I just wish they could have done it faster lol Yeah the women in the cast need to own up to their comic book characters lol. Especially Andrea. I don't hate her completely but she's all talk and no action. I REALLY don't like Laurie, she's a manipulative cow but I guess that's the point of her character. Either way, I'm thoroughly engaged. And I heard they just cast the Governor for season three. I'm interested in how they'll introduce this character.

There has to be somebody on their staff who can at least do a decent job writing female characters. & while they're at it, they can either give "T-dog" some lines, or they might as well write their token POC out of the show. I also agree about the pussy female characters. Heaven forbid any of them to be anything other than whiny and obnoxious. I'd like to see them kick a little ass instead of moping around. Especially Andrea. I just think her character could be a lot better. PS. I think Carl causes a lot of problems lol

At the beginning of the episode where Carl was throwing the rocks at that one walker which eventually led to that tragic ending, I was saying to myself how much I hate him. You can't imagine how mad I was at the end. Then on last week's episode, I was sure he was going to get someone else killed because he had taken a certain character's gun (My 2nd fav. character behind Glenn). Thank God I was wrong. I think Kirkman had said they planned to bring him back last year, but I think this is the first 'official' announcement after everything's been sorted. & not to get spoileriffic or anything, but that dialog-less intro of Michone, was straightup one of the most badass character intros i've seen in a long time! Sometimes I think i'm the only person who doesn't hate Carl (& I fucking HATE kids normally) but despite the fact that his mother can't be bothered to keep an eye on him & then flips her shit when she can't find him, he's behaving pretty much the way i'd expect an 11-12 year old growing up during a zombie apocalypse would. Plus, when he finally does nut up & squeeze the trigger, he takes out the 1 character (BOOM headshot!) that I wanted gone more than any other; so I give him a free pass to be a little shit once in a while!

Loved seeing all the walkers come out of the woods toward the farm!!! Fuck yeah. Hopefully the new character that Andrea encountered in the woods and the prison will be exciting for next season.

Oh man, if the writers don't decide to swerve wildly away from the comics, in regards to the prison and that "new character", things in season 3 will be very exciting indeed. A LOT of crazy shit should go down while they're at the prison, which they'll probably be at longer than the farm, as it's a pretty huge component of the comic storyline. Damn, I just knew Michonne was gonna show up at the end like that, and I nearly lost my shit when she actually did. So freaking badass. PLEASE don't let them ruin her like they've ruined EVERY OTHER female character on the show so far...

HA! Awesome picture I kinda liked Shane. I felt sorry for him because he thought he had a good thing going with his best friend's wife and then Rick shows up again. He was kind of hungry for that kind of attention and it was denied to him so he did what any person would do, he snapped. I'm gonna miss Shane but that was a cool way to take him out.
