Just watched Tron the other night for the first time in years. It's still an awesome movie smiling smiley

The Time Machine. I recorded it off the television a few weeks ago, watched it again, deleted it. Will try to find an official copy. BTW this is the Rod Taylor version of course.

^^^ Which, as with War of the Worlds, is another brilliant movie way ahead of its time just like the books.

09/15/11 9:56 AM

I saw The Skeptic on IFC. It wasn't a bad thriller. I recommend it even though it was full of commercials. ><

Up next Being There with Peter Sellars.

09/15/11 10:58 AM

I love Being There! I think it was the perfect vehicle for Seller's final performance.

Indeed!! HG Wells did write a good story or two, didn't he? smiling smiley

Terminator Salvation. Recorded it from the television last month, finally was able to watch it this weekend. Enjoyed it very much, although it felt like there could be another prequel/sequel/whatever you like to call it, just to tie up a couple of loose threads.

Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. Love this movie!!!! Saw it a very long time ago but I remember it vividly, picked up the video (yes, video!!!) on Thursday and watched it today. It may be an old movie but it still feels very relevant.

2001: A Space Odyssey. The special effects are still pretty mind-blowing.

Kevin Smith wrote, directed and edited Red State ? Wow! I can't imagine anything being further removed from Chasing Amy than this movie. And the reverend? I've been a fan of Michael Parks since, at age 12, I saw his bare ass frolicking in a meadow as Adam in John Huston's The Bible: In The Beginning. He was magnificent in Red State!

Moon.

Not bad. I actually love watching something where I don't know anything about it and I can't tell where the plot is going.

Same here! I came across the movie and was more interested in the score by Clint Mansell. I knew i liked the actors but had no idea what Moon was about. I hadn't even seen a trailer for the movie. I just wanted to hear the music so i got the movie and it turned out to be rather touching as well.

The Day The Earth Stood Still. The 1951 version of course!!! Love this movie, been watching this movie ever since I was a little girl. Love the soundtrack.

The Broken | Wind Chill | The Abandoned.

A trio of favourites, all beautifully made (and scored) dark, chilling & sad tales.

If anyone wants to commit existential suicide, watch Begotten

Utterly horrifying.

10/10/11 2:21 PM

Watched the girl with the dragon tattoo. Um
I was distracted and not 100% into it. >< I can usually get into any foreign movie but not this one. The rape scene was bad, the second rape scene was just as bad. kudos thumbs up for the Mikael and Lisbeth sex scenes.
Here's hoping that the American version will kick gratititious amounts of ass.

Hatchet 2. Meh, skip it unless you're bored and there's nothing else one

10/12/11 3:58 AM

The Day The Earth Stood Still. I was just feeling a bit lazy, and it was like "comfort food" for me. But the silly dvd player stuffed up part way through the movie, so I didn't see all of it...

10/12/11 4:36 PM

if you're hungry for a good, no bullshit/frill action movie, check out killer @#$%&. awesome.

10/14/11 12:24 PM

I watched Velvet Goldmine at work last night.

10/14/11 4:23 PM

Got to see an "exclusive preview" of The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence).

It was hilariously awful - pretty vile at times too, but that shouldn't be a surprise.
