I watched City of God last night, love that film.

08/16/08 1:29 PM

Watched the made for tv Alice in Wonderland (1999), it wasn't as good as I remembered it being when I had first watched it in 4th grade, it freaked out everyone in the class including me because it was so weird. I think I've been jaded from Eraserhead.

08/16/08 2:19 PM

Detroit Rock City.

08/16/08 4:14 PM

Pineapple Express...and it was awesome.

God, I love that movie. It's one of the best zombie/horror/suspense movies that I have ever seen.

08/16/08 7:12 PM

I really hate to admit this, but Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants 2.
I got dragged to it.

love this movie, but i HATE the fast moving/running year 2000-ish zombie/sick people/whatever the hell they are, they scare the shit out of me. i like my zombies slow, moaning and lumbering. you know, walk up and hit them in the head with a cricket bat, they go down. sorry for the digression.

last movie i saw in a theater was Grindhouse. i don't get out much.

08/17/08 1:56 AM

Pineapple Express, which I thought sucked.
Step Brothers, which I thought sucked too.
Doomsday which was shitty but very entertaining.

08/17/08 7:41 AM

Rocky. The first one.

Still fucks me up every time.

08/17/08 12:25 PM

The Clone Wars.

Gawwwwwddd. I mean, it's not quite as horrible as everyone is saying it is and I feel like getting worked up over it is like getting worked up over the Ewoks movies or Droids cartoons. It's not "really" Star Wars.

08/17/08 12:35 PM

I watched The Orphanage last night. Pretty creepy film.

08/17/08 12:40 PM

Cinema: Get Smart
TV: Wolf Creek (very very much cut version)

I was really pretty disappointed by The Orphanage. If you liked it though, I'd recommend you see another of del Toro's films - The Devil's Backbone. I thought they both had very similar elemnts in them, but far preferred the latter film.

//oh right, last movie I saw was The Ruins. Stay faaaaar, far away.

Last film I saw for the first time and actually enjoyed was an older one I picked up used at Blockbuster called "Serial Mom". Wish I'd seen it years ago when it came out, it's really quite hilarious if you're into the whole atomic-family-mother-who's-secretly-a-sadistic-psycho thing.

I just watched "Hitman" for the first time. I was impressed, mostly I think because I'd heard it was awful and had low expectations going in.

08/17/08 7:33 PM

Caught the last hour or so of Ang Lee's The Ice Storm with Tobey Maguire, Christina Ricci and Elijah Wood. Looked interesting, I'll probably end up watching the whole thing somewhere down the line.
