It was my favourite season, can't wait to own it to match my other three. Also, here's a little subject question: Remember Jonathan Farrow, the innocent man Dexter killed in episode 7 of season 4? What effect do you think that will have on season 5? It was small in comparison to the massive ending twist, but don't forget that season 2's secondary plot was set in motion by a seemingly small part of season 1. (Dexter framing Paul for heroin use)

(sorry, couldn't resist ) the first epi was meh IMO. they had some housekeeping to attend to, what with Rita's murder and its investigation and the ramifications for the family, and they got it out of the way. i just know that we will be back in fine Dex form real soon!! and yeah, how often i WISH that i could go off on a random dude like he did. very satisfying. Season 2 was definitely my favourite to watch so far, although season 3 was amazing once it got into it ...come to think of it i actually had a dream last night that Miguel was my friend and he stabbed me in the back...weird...anyway... I've gotta say Michael C. Hall is one of my favourite actors, obviously he's amazing in Dexter but his performance in Six Feet Under was just as incredible.

I think given the "holy shit!" nature of the final episode of Season 4, they did well to offer up one that mostly dealt with the aftermath and what not, rather than just kinda skipping over it and launching straight in to hardcore Dexterism. I also fucking lol'd at Misuka's opening line. I liked that despite the fact this episode was mostly pretty sad with regards to its subject matter, they kept those trademark one-liners and lightened it up at times.

So glad that Dex already has the next serial killer in his sights. The look on Dex's face when Boyd was going CSI on him was just priceless. And i am glad that Aster and Cody are with the grandparents for now. The animosity Aster has towards Dex was getting repetitive, and having two active kids was going to get in the way of killing. one small complaint, and only because the show has been really good with details even in the face of entertainment. Everything after that seems like a betrayal, though. Just crap after crap after crap. Then, you really couldn't top what happened at the end of season 2.
