I don't remember things popping out every minute. I don't remember anything popping out at all. The 3D was useless

What does that have to do with the characters, plot, and setting? I don't remember the illustrations in the book moving, but it didn't stop Disney from making an animated film, did it?

If you're gonna use 3D at all,put it there for a reason.

Also, I actually liked the movie until the 3rd act

Just for the fun factor of it, and that I remember a lot of young kids in the theater I was in having a blast with it, including mine. Pretty good reason, really.

I saw Alice at the Midnight premiere and it was better than expected...Depp is my fav actor of course, being Gonzo84 (Fear and Loathing and the upcoming RUM DIARYsmiling smiley) I was pleasantly happy with the results, I didn't get into the 3-D theatre, since they were sold out, but I didn't care, it wasn't like I was on any mind expanding drugs, which would be the only reason for that viewing...I'm glad that Burton came out and said that the 3-D trend must end before it gets WAY out of hand and I fully agree, cause now every goddamn movie that's coming out seems to follow that format, FUCK THE 3-D format...Fuck the Theaters anyway, nothing worse than a bunch of annoying people ruining a movie experience and my money (Popcorn chomping! Candy Wrapper Playing, Loud Talking Douche Bags....and I'm from NY, the Heartland of Theater Annoyance, but it wasn't til I moved out PHX that I got fed up) All in all, great film, Depp is the man as always, can't wait for Rum Diary.......

Okay, you don't even say why you liked it. I need reasons because i can't get over this, it's just like Wanted, i just don't get how anybody can find this a great film, even worse some people saying its their favorite movie. The only thing that stood out for me was the Cheshire Cat voiced by Stephen Fry.

It's not like I"m saying that it's my favorite film or anything, I was just stating that it was better than expected, I'm not a fan of the Willy Wonka remake and I was expecting the same lame interpretation...I thought Alice was just a fun film, not something SERIOUS!!! A film to take my nieces to and yet I can still enjoy. If you watch the film in the sense of a Film Critic, of course it's not amazing, but it's an enjoyable film if you want to be...

Went to see it to the movies with the bf.
Waaay better than I expected (because everyone has told me it sucks).

I really liked it, I'd give it ummm... 9½/10, yeah it was that good lol, me thinks.
Very funny and entertaining, well produced, the characters were really good and also the graphics were very good.
I have no idea why some people don't like it... o.O weeeeiiiird, my bf also thought it was funny and good.

I honestly thought the mad hatter had too much presence in the movie. And when the fuck is tim burton gonna stop casting Depp and his wife in his own movies? Where's the variety?

Burton likes to work with people that are transparent actors that he can get along with, and have a sense of humor. And face it, Depp is great at playing different parts. I mean, make up and prothstetics can make anyone look different, but with Depp, his ability to pull of individualistic persona's really makes all his portrayals of characters different. It's not like "Keanu Reeves, IS Keanu Reeves, IN...", or "Nicolas Cage, IS Nicolas Cage, IN...". Depp would have the good sense not to be in 'Ghost Rider' or 'The Movie That Kinda Vaguely Resembles the Comic Constantine'.

And, I would like to add... Depp was not in Big Fish. Yeah, his wife was... But it wasn't a big role. I think that Danny Devito, and Helena Bonham Carter were the only people that he had had in his previous movies that were kinda there in the background. And that midget dude. But that doesn't really count, because through out, midget actors are recycled by everyone. You'll find that guy, and the Mini Me dude in just about any role that calls for midgets now that Warwick Davis is getting on in years. In a few more years, Warwick Davis can be our next Billy Barty!

Anyways, I ramble... And I digress.

EOWYN! That's it! Who the fuck is Arwen again? Fucking names...

She's the elf played by Liv Tyler i think.

Well, Alice in Wonderland was quite pretty to look at, especially the tea party, it had a nice level of detail.

I thought it was going to be funnier, it also dragged in parts. The Mad Hatter's random Scottish ramblings were a bit out of nowhere.

It wasn't too bad though.

Just because Depp has the ability to reach into every role he's cast in and bring out the most does not mean he's impressive in every role he takes, especially in Burtons movies. Variety is the spice of life.
