Man, they were so genius about their marketing for this show. I mean everyone loves vampires (and Anna Paquin for that matter) anyway, but you know they released the Pilot Episode on DVD by itself last week and are renting it out at Blockbuster as a completely FREE rental? No charge so that they can get you hooked to watch it. lol. Genius!!
I loved it. Looking very forward to the show.

im watching it, and i like it. its quirky - Anna Paquin in it is perfect. also, vampire sex is hot and freaky all at the same time. vampires are kool.

I liked the first episode quite a bit. Good humour.

Of course, I found Sookie a bit roguish... maybe they took a gambit on her... I mean, with those vampire who have teeth like a wolverine.

(sorry, my wife abused me last night for the same puns and I share to share them)

Sour, have you managed to see this yet? i think you will like it--its very Twilight-esque...but with real sex!

btw, sex with a vampire always seemed desirable, til i saw this show! eye popping smiley

Lafayette is priceless!thumbs up

Yay for vampires being popular again.

You guys can also subscribe to the HBO True Blood podcast. There hasn't been too much activity with it but there are two 15 minute behind the scenes clips that are nice.

Looking forward to the next episode to see what happens next. I've read the books but it's been a while and it's becoming hard for me to remember what the show is following when it comes to the texts. Anna's portrayal of Sookie is growing on me too.

I love most of Alan Ball's work and have seen ep. 1 and 2 of this show. Something is just not clicking with me. The CG is a little weak and some of the acting is not pulling me in, its coming off to odd. The whole vampire sex video thing would have invited more ideas of what was going on if they never showed the real type. Details like that, if you are going to use them don't need to be full shown. I am never uncomfortable with sex scenes but this one just looks dumb.

I am some what happy they re-casted the black friend with someone that is not as flashy and a little more true to the south. The original friend was much lighter skin and more of a girly girl.

The best part of the show so far has been the open title scene. I'll keep watching, but it is in no way close to as powerful as Six Feet Under was.

That makes me happy smiling smiley about to watch the second episode I taped while I was out of town when I get off work. I picked up the first book in the series and I finished it in a few hours, I loved it.

Even though this show will never fill my Six Feet Under void..I still love it winking smiley

Good news!

I view Six Feet Under as almost a masterpiece, so not many things as much as they try will come close.

The 2nd episode is fantastic. THis show is going to be really good. The first one took a little while to get going introducing characters ect. As for the acting I have found the acting in this show to be 10x that of what the Soprano's used.

09/18/08 11:07 AM

I did like the 2nd episode more, but I am still waiting for something more to come of this show... To go into something that draws me in more and accept things I have issues with...

09/18/08 11:32 PM

I loved the second episode! It's going along with the book pretty well...I'm addicted to this show already.

Sourfriday, you better be watching/reading this! smiling smiley

09/19/08 12:53 PM

I was able to catch the first episode during the free HBO weekend.
But I have Shotime, so it's good to know we can see it on iTunes.

09/19/08 11:43 PM

Just heard about this today, sounds pretty interesting.

09/19/08 11:59 PM

I hate it when networks I don't have pick up shows I want to watch and won't bring myself to pay for.....Thanks for the surfthechannel link
