Haha, I just saw these posts.
I started watching it last night (when I realized it was all free/available on PVR) and finished it this evening and I really liked it despite the fact that I hate it when characters all fuck each other.
Sookie was alright but managed to annoy me with her whole retarded open mouth staring, buck tooth face and virginal gossamer moomoo's. I liked how independent she wanted to be and that she actually had the balls to tell people to fuck off.
Jason was a revolting moron with a tight body, I felt no sympathy for his character whatsoever.
It's too bad Tara is such a train wreck-I think her irrationalities clash too much with her supposed level of knowledge and common sense. The actress who played her mother did a fantastic job of playing a disgusting human.
Eric is pretty damn hot (Alexander Skarsgård-looks like his dad Stellan).
Sam is all around meh. He is an ugly dog too.
Lafayette was very amusing. Too bad.
I'm going to have trouble with Jessica the new tween vampire. I wanted to kick in her vampire teeth immediately. Hopefully they don't overdo it.
Bill Compton. Oh Billy boy, you make me feel funny in the pants. I thought he was great; a perfect mixture of sex appeal and danger, there were times when you didn't have that "oh everything will work out in the end" feeling. Hawt.

I wonder how they make such graphic sex scenes without fucking for real. Shows like True Blood and Six Feet Under had some scenes in there that make you really wonder how it is done.

I bought season 1 on DVD at Best Buy and got a free Tru Blood t-shirt. It says "REAL BLOOD IS FOR SUCKERS" on the front and it has a Tru Blood disclaimer on the back.

Not bad for $35.

I can't wait for the 14th.

I cannot wait for the second season either. When I first saw the previews for trublood I didn't think it'd be good.

I am now totally addicted to the show.
