The Exorcist

I did a search I couldn't find a thread for this. As you can tell from my avatar I'm a fan of the Exorcist. Some may disagree but it is kind of the ultimate horror movie. Its the movie that people always compare other movies to for decades. I'm a fan of old 70's movies anyway. I remember showing this to my ex wife who had never seen it before and she was laughing at it and kind of bored with it until it kicked in. She was so scared of it that she vowed to never watch it again and never wanted to talk about it.

I love this movie and its perfect for this time of year Halloween and all but I like to watch it on Christmas LOL

This is my all time favorite movie of any genre. I saw it as a kid and it scared the shigs out of me. No other movie has ever been able to affect me like that and has been my favorite since then.

My favorite horror movie! thumbs up
I saw about 15 minutes of Emily Rose on TV, and I was turned off by the filmmakers' attempt to turn The Excorcist into Law And Order. *suffocates*

I read it when it was first released in paperback. Started it 10:00 Saturday morning and finished it at 4:00 Sunday morning, the only book I've ever read in one sitting! The movie was really good too.

Gotta love the classics. This was one of those movies I had to read the book first lol.

In 8th grade I was probably the only kid who had never seen an R rated movie in my life so I was jealous of the other kids. So one day I was at the library and wanted to check out Silence of the Lambs, and I got home and my mom said to me, you can not watch this until you read the book. So I did.

Then a few weeks later we were down the shore and I was in the bookstore looking at books and I was like woah The Exorcist is a book! So I bought it and read it then told my mom that I read it, so she let me see it.

And yeah, point of the story, because I love to read I got to see one of the best movies ever made. I need to own it. I own Exorcist: The Beginning, and thats a waste of my time. I couldn't even finish it. I need this movie... I need too many movies, I am never satisfied with the 80 DVDs I own lol

i love this movie but i can't watch it alone lol.

one time when my friend and i were like 12 or 13 we watched it in my room, at night, during a thunderstorm. We were so freaked out by the end that even though she lived 3 houses away from me, she had to have my dad walk her home.

Great flick, you can't help but get freaked out by some parts in it. The backwards walk is what really gets me.

I actually liked The Exorcism Of Emily Rose the barn scene was great, obviously not as cool as the Exorcist but again every horror film gets compared to the Exorcist especially if the movie is about demonic possession.

For me my favorite part of the Exorcist is when the Devil gets inside Father Karis's head and the imagery that is shown on screen actually part of that imagery is my avatar.

This movie gets funnier every time I see it
