Took me a while to come up with some new stuff. Didn't want them to be too easy, but since it took a while for the last two, I suppose these should be easier.

"I guess a Beretta in the butt beats a butterfly in the boot." (Too much alliteration on the letter B, but hey, I'm just quoting it. tongue sticking out smiley )

"You of all people should know I would never, in my life, wear black silk underwear."

Worker bees can leave. Even drones can fly away. The Queen is their slave.

First, your answer to Xanthe's quote is, sadly, wrong. Too easy, really. But I'll let you answer it properly before I step in again. grinning smiley

Second: Your new quote is from The Hunt for Red October.

I still don't know where your older quote came from.

06/23/10 5:21 AM

^^ The older quote is from Kalifornia, a movie definitely worth checking out.

According to my son, my answer to Xanthe's quote is right.

New quote:

"Mrs. Blalock, are you making a pass at me?"

"Miriam. Not that I'm aware of."

Your son never saw Airplane!, then. That's where it comes from, and it's a classic, which is why I said it was too easy.

This new one is, of course, The Hunger.

(sorry to temporarily disrupt this thread, I just need to clear something up)

Godhunter, according to my son, Airplane and Flying High are one and the same movie. In the US it was called Airplane, in Australia it was called Flying High. Peter Graves, Leslie Nielsen were both in the movie. Do I have the right one? smiling smiley (not being narky or trollish or anything) I have no idea why some movies have different names in different countries.

As to jenifer2126's quote, sorry, I have no idea.

06/24/10 9:47 AM

^^^^Hmmm...never occurred to me that it had a different title elsewhere. So that's what it's called in Australia? I guess you learn something new every day...but yeah, that's otherwise the right movie. I also have no idea why they changed the name elsewhere. There are reasons why some movies get name changes when they go overseas, but this one's a mystery even to me.

06/24/10 10:13 AM

hmm i'll start with a new one.

"Listen to me you little fire headed, red headed fucking bitch! you don't call me and hang up on me! you don't call me and hang up because this it what it feels like! HI!"

Uh, Lord, hallowed be Thy name. May our feet be swift; may our bats be mighty; may our balls... be plentiful. Lord, I'd just like to thank You for that waitress in South Bend. You know who she is - she kept calling Your name. And God, these are good girls, and they work hard. Just help them see it all the way through. Okay, that's it.
