^Ok I started reading this a few hours ago and I vowed not to stop until certain people got together-but now I'm just being gluttonous tongue sticking out smiley

I didn't really care for the first or second book, but Club Dead was pretty good and Dead to the World is alright so far. I'm glad there are so many books in the series, I still have a lot to get through before I suffer from withdraw.

I have to say the end of Chapter 6 in Dead to the World is probably my favorite ending to a chapter ever. Oh Eric Northman you are a silly silly vampire.

I love Dead Until Dark, and I used to think Living Dead In Dallas was good until season two of True Blood. The way it played out in the series was so much more fun than the book. I'll most likely finish Dead to the World tonight,I got a 125 pages left so maybe I will or maybe I won't.
Depends if I go to my friends dorm and if we play N64..

I have 85 left...I'll race you..tongue sticking out smiley

I still like the series better, don't like Bill at all in the books, look forward to seeing who they cast as Alcide, and giggle when I see my topless Eric Northman screensaver grinning smiley

I love Bill in the series too. I like him in the books but its ridiculous how much of a character difference there is. I guess I also love the books a lot to because I read them before I even knew there was going to be a show. The show just made me reinterested and made me buy them all!

And on another note, the new PostSecret book is amazing. Sadly, my secret isn't in the book. I've always wondered how I would feel if I saw something I sent in on the site or in one of the books...

And sourfriday you'll probably beat me, I found out I will be playing some N64 tonight. Its funny how you stop playing certain video games because you are "too mature" for them. But here I am a college freshmen playing Pokemon Stadium lol

I just blazed through Lilith Saintcrow's Jill Kismet series, great read.
Next up is Alice Hoffman's latest, The Story Sisters.

And has anyone read Elizabeth Hand?
She is the author of 12 Monkeys, and my favorite writer by far; highly recommended.

Yeah I finished Dead As a Doornail also. Disturbing. Now I am officially enjoying these books.

I'm not done yet lol I have lots of pages to read, i read 5 yesterday and fell asleep. Now I am excited for the ending now that you say it is disturbing..

I'm reading The Great Gatsby for my English Literature course, and... Man, it's boring as fuck. I really do love Fitzgerald's style of writing but from what I can gather, and from what everyone else is saying, it just doesn't go anywhere. Bleh.

You are going to like that ^ one.

Definitely Dead was definitely not my favorite.

On to the next!

10/09/09 9:57 PM

I am 150 pages in and I am loving it. I have to read this one slower than usual. I came home from college for the weekend and didn't bring the next, so this has to last me until my train ride on sunday night. Lets see how that works out...

10/10/09 6:05 AM

Oooh, All Together Dead wasn't bad either. One more then I have to wait until next Friday before the last one gets delivered. I guess I'll have to read something serious in between.

10/10/09 6:57 AM

Dream Songs - A Retrospective Part 2 - George R.R Martin.

Now I'm gonna have to spend a small fortune getting the Wild Card series smiling smiley

Quicker Than The Eye, by Ray Bradbury. Not his best collection, but still well worth reading.

Excellent book.

I read this in 8th Grade. I could not bring myself to finish it. i found it quite boring. Maybe it was a bit too mature for me at the time. I'll try again in a few years.

Right now Im reading Fight Club after watching the movie for God knows how many times. I really like the book Im 120-ish pages in.

Right now I have Shutter Island on hold at my library.

Excellent book. Dennis Lehane is an under-rated writer.

So I finished all ten books in the Sookie Stackhouse series and I have to say that aside from the first two, I really enjoyed burning through them. Not particularly deep reading, but lots of fun all the same.
That Eric Northman, let me tell you...

10/12/09 10:53 AM

Fargo Rock City, p40 mentions Trent Reznor grinning smiley

10/12/09 4:40 PM

Oh my bad, I was medicated when I wrote that. I look forward to book 10 in May *sigh*

Back to my regularly scheduled reading. *big sigh*

I looked through it in the bookstore and just put it back down. I currently don't have the patience for that format.

10/15/09 12:48 AM

Yeah, I didn't either. I put it down and picked up one of my last Kurt Vonnegut novels left to read, Slapstick. It was a pretty good read, a quick read. Can't be too disappointed by anything written by Vonnegut.

10/15/09 1:17 PM

It's not light reading, but I'm in the middle of Seven Pillars of Wisdom by T.E. Lawrence, which is his account of the Arab Revolt during WWI...

10/16/09 7:43 AM

Random little side note, they mention Nine Inch Nails in the book I'm reading woo!

10/16/09 3:53 PM

I'm reading The Skeleton Crew by Steven King. And I recommend the Thief of Always, I read it when I was liek 10, good book btw by Clive Barker.
