Final Fantasy Tactics: when people think original PlayStation, they usually think Final Fantasy VII (and yes it was awesome), but I’ve always thought square’s true masterpiece on that system was Final Fantasy Tactics. (PS)
Silent Hill 2: every gamer should be required to play at least one Silent Hill game, and if your going to play only one Silent Hill game it needs to be Silent Hill 2. (PS2 or XBOX)
Star Trek Armada: do you like Star Trek, do you like video games, do you like armadas of space ships, space stations, and super weapons, all battling each other? If you answer with a thunderous YES, then you’ll love Star Trek Armada. (PC)
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: a better story twist than any M. Night Shyamalan movie. A much better Star Wars entry than the 3 most recent Star Wars movies (I‘m looking at you George Lucas). (XBOX)
ICO: This one is near and dear to my heart. Every time I play it, it feels fresh and new. Plus I think Flavor Flav got his Viking hat inspiration from this game. (PS2)
The early evolution of multiplayer. From an age when one had to pay for his gaming fix 25 cents at a time. As kids we pumped so many quarters into one of these X Men arcade machines, that we probably could have bought the thing several times over. It was just plain fun. (Arcade)
Tetris: If you were a kid in the late 80’s early 90’s and you had a Game Boy, then you remember this little gem, in fact this is the only Game Boy game that I remember. (Nintendo Game Boy)
Halo 2: Halo games I hate in all of their incarnations (and I can‘t stress that enough). I always found them to be grossly over hyped and underwhelming games. But hey, the rest of the world fell in love with it, and it is now a multi-billion dollar franchise, so what do I know? Go play Halo and form your own opinion (but it‘s still shit). (XBOX)
Resident Evil 4: the scariest thing about this game was just how perfect it felt. (Nintendo GameCube)
In more modern times we have games like Tomb Raider and Uncharted. I’d like to think these kind of games are in spirit the descendants of this ageing treasure. (Atari 2600)
