That's right, it happened. On January 9, 2009, ThePirateBay, known amongst us NIN users as the origin point of the "Free, Sort-of NIN Greatest Hits" released by a Certain someone has finally closed down.

Anyway, post your thoughts here.

It was useful for me because when I got a new computer, alot of music I had on the old one I lost the CD's for, and I couldn't get new copies. Believe me, it was a LOT of music, and if I replaced them, I would have spent WELL over 200 dollors. A freak accident a ripped bag, a rainy day, and being in a big hurry made sure of that.

The link is broken to Piratebay, and as far as I know that ONLY happens when a site closes. For all intents and purposes, and until further notice, the Piratebay is now and forever GONE. Which sucks because I need to find another copy of Home. I'll try and find out what's going on.

The Pirate Bay goes down all the time. If it doesn't work I wait a few hours then try again and it's usually back up. They have such a heavy load on their servers it's inevitable it will go down from time to time.

Meh, I could care less honestly. I enjoy private trackers much more.
I do give them credit for fighting to keep the site up though, they've fought long and hard to try keeping it up.

lol, just because you can't get there doesn't mean it's closed down. Piratebay is still up and running. I'm on PB almost daily along side Demonoid.
