I just saw Ozzfest, have to admit, it was the most fun concert I had been to in quite sometime, probably since the NINJA tour. Too bad I decided no to go too many concerts after this one.
Motley Crue was SO good, I thought they would suck but they were fucking awesome.

Chrome--o-o-o-o!!! Had a blast!!

KISS this past Saturday. It was fucking amazing smiling smiley

I haven't been to a show since I saw Bullet for my Valentine and Chiodos back in May. I still think it was a great show, though, except for hearing Chiodos' new vocalist for the first time. He totally fucked up one of my favorite songs. My friend and I were front and center until they were on stage, then we had to bail because the crowd was getting too rough. My friend made it back near the front during BFMV, though, and got me a guitar pick.

Sublime (w. Rome) last night. AMAZING! They didn't play any weird new songs or anything that no one cares about, either. Sooooooo good! Best part was that the venue is a 45 second walk from my house.

I wish i could see them again.

I just saw The Night Beats and Christian Bland and the Revelators the other day. I really love that Austin has so much awesome local psych bands that are doing quite well now.

At the end of last month I caught Summerlin plus support at a local bar. It went well, until a kinda friend of ours poured beer into their van. <_<

I went to Sonisphere Festival at the beginning of this month and saw: Delain, Turisas, Never Means Maybe, Europe, Gary Numan, Alice Cooper, Keri Kelli, Andrew O’Neil, Jared Christmas Mic, Tim Minchin, Heaven’s Basement, Sabaton, Fear Factory, Apocalyptica, Skunk Anansie, Motley Crue, Family Force 5, Anthrax, Papa Roach, Placebo, Rammstein, Dir En Grey, Bring Me The Horizon, The Cult, Iggy And The Stooges, Karnivool, Madina Lake, Skindred, Slayer, Alice In Chains, Pendulum annnd Iron Maiden. It was phenomenal.

Then a few days later I went to see Madina Lake again, as they happened to be playing locally. They were supported by Kassius and The Wild. An amazing show. <3

And a couple of days ago I saw Foals at an MTV Presents gig in Camden. Was interesting, to say the least. There was no barrier which was a mistake, lolz. Being a little indie band you wouldn't think it'd be a problem. But it was -- and the technicians got so angry at the crowd for using the wedges for support so they didn't headbutt the stage. Aha. <3

Stone (again!!!!) on Saturday night. Loved it as always. Only one encore this time. My one grievance is that not enough people were there... sad smiley

Last Friday night, saw 46 Clicks, Black Label, and Angry Anderson And The Junkyard Dogs!!!!!! Believe it or not, but I've never before seen Angry Anderson live in concert. I had so much fun, all three bands were GREAT!!!!! And, it was a freebie because my daughter was official photographer and as she doesn't drive I get to be her chauffeuse (female chauffeur for those who don't know...). I took my little camera as well, and got lots of photos and some video as well, not good enough for youTube (pictures clear, sound distorted because I was right next to speakers) but good enough to help remember the gig.

I saw Rush on 8/31 in Allentown, PA...best show I've ever been to! It was fantastic... smiling bouncing smiley

OH MY GAWD! The visuals were amazing. Too bad 90% of the people who attend these electronic festivals are electro-retards

Aww I so wish I coulda gone to that. sad smiley

Sadly the last concert I went to was in like March I think. But it was Loren Battle. They're a local metalcore band. Pretty good, hopefully they'll hit it big.

Just saw Autolux this afternoon. Really fun band live and really nice and sweet members as well. Getting ready to see them play another show tonight at Emo's.

09/11/10 5:47 AM

Rockfest last night. They're a new covers band just starting out in this area. They're pretty good.

09/11/10 10:04 PM

Tegan and Sara (opening for Paramore) in August! Such a good show, despite the screaming 13 year old girls.

Last night I saw Autolux and they for sure delivered and put on an awesome performance. One thing I'm noticing though is;
Do you ever find people around you dance so ridiculously crazy only to throw off your rhythm?grinning smiley HAHA
It was funny cause during the show, some chick jumped up on stage (In a Club/Bar) and started doing some stoned ultra-hippy dance; borderline stripper-ish. The bass player later commented with "Well that's the first time that's ever happened…."
In the end, it was one hell of a show, if you get a chance check them out if they hit up your area

09/16/10 3:49 PM

^ I told you they were awesome live. Yeah they definitely are a band that put on a really fun performance. I'm really hoping they come back sometime during the spring since a lot of my friends were planning on catching them while they were here but couldn't make that show.

I recently went down to Tucson for a special Headlining show of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. I got to say this is probably the best show I've seen this year thus far. It was at this small little club which was packed wall to wall. Literally you couldn't move too much. I had a good spot, but right when the band starts, a pretty bad fight started right in front of the stage and in front of me. I thought this thing was gonna turn into a riot, cause the vibe was just heading into that direction it seemed like. But people calmed the dumbshit's down and the band continued to play. It was probably the HOTTEST show I've been to as well, it was 108degrees that day. You didn't even have to dance, but just stand there and sweat would be pouring down you forehead. The only thing the band said, was the bass player (Robert Levon Been) saying "You guys aren't kidding with this heat, it's fucking hot!" Yet they played their hearts out. I mean if it was that hot for us, I could only imagine it being even worse on stage. It was a solid show with over a couple hours of great BRMC songs. I still don't know how they managed to play as long as they did with as much intensity, since the heat was a major factor, but also Been's father had just passed and it's really admirable for them to finish their tour since his father was the Sound Engineer for the band. All in all, great fuckin show, if you haven't seen these guys, do yourself a favor and check them out. They are on tour right now opening for Stone Temple Pilots.

^ I <3 those guys live. I was really really looking forward to seeing them last night but all of their TX gigs got either canceled or postponed. sad smiley I ended up just buying tickets to see them play with STP for their upcoming rescheduled Austin show next month. I just hope that show doesn't end up getting canceled because I've really been wanting to see BRMC live again.

Since I didn't end up seeing BRMC last night I ended up going to another concert...I won some contest that I had completely forgotten I had even entered and was chosen at random to be on the guestlist for the Film School show that was here in Austin. They were pretty fun live...concerts where you get to go in for free, hang out with the band, and get loads of free stuff are great...I have no complaints especially since I'm now broke from having spent so much money on other concerts.
