What the fuck is Jaydiohead?

For me the song There There is a trip the song kinda has almost a ballad type sound to it with the tom and kick drum beat but without the guitar riff changing at 3:30 minutes into it the drum beat changes to a kick snare beat and the song rocks out its a trip.

that's the problem...the fact i actually somewhat enjoyed listening to it...now the songs will forever be ruined..haha
well, i hope not...but to me..there some things that are sacred and some lines that should never be crossed..and i witnessed 3 of those things tonight.

I finally listened to all the Radiohead albums, at least 3 times each one. I've kept 17 songs for my playlist. I'm not quite sure which is my favorite album (Kid A + Amnesiac ?), but I sure know the opposite: Hail to the Thief. It just feels generic (excepting Myxomatosis). Of course, Pablo Honey (yes, You and Blow Out are decent) and In Rainbows (CD2) aren't great either, but I was kind of expecting that. Funny thing is, the band takes itself less seriously compared to what the critics and (some) fans consider. Strangely, this whole Radiohead experience remembered me of how great The Fragile is. smiling smiley

Again, strange, but I agree with this.

Really? In rainbows Cd 2 blew me away. I find it as good as Cd 1.

Seconded, fuck, Radiohead was back in the days when I bought most of my music (so I have their studio albums). Such nostalgia grinning smiley that and the Fragile <3

as for Luk's comment, I'd be stuck there possibly. Maybe a few songs from the others too (this may possibly be from their "I'll listen to some Aphex Twin and make my bands music in similarly sounding vein" from Thom Yorke)

the EPs? not the albums? thats pretty awesome. I'm not a collector, but I would assume those take a bit to find.

Yup. All EP's including Drill. Won them through a contest from Buddyhead. Oddly enough the contest was for the re-releases of their first 3 albums. Long story short: after a very long delay I ended up with the EPs instead.

Eps as in every single (because iTunes calls them EPs) or just the ones that clearly say Ep such as Drill, No Surprises/Running From demons, Airbag/How am i driving ?

I'm not much of a fan, but "creep" is possibly one of the ten greatest songs I've ever heard.

Some are EP's. They're re-issues. Sadly the airbag on isn't one of them.

These are the ones

Considering Radiohead is one of my favorite bands, I'm surprised I haven't posted here yet.

My favorite albums are probably OK Computer and Hail to the Thief.

I'd have to say Amnesiac too, just because Pyramid Song is pretty much the most amazing thing ever recorded.

06/25/09 9:20 PM

I know pyramid song on piano now 8D

06/25/09 9:35 PM

@ CharmlessMan, you are the luckiest man on the planet.

@Imaginary_Kevin, yeah its a tie between Pyramid Song, Reckoner, and Wolf At The Door for my favorite Radiohead song

@DJgif next step: violins

Radiohead is an incredible band. One of my favorites.

06/27/09 7:19 AM

I'd have to go with Pablo Honey being my favorite album of theirs. It sounds so unorganised, chaotic and raw, really.
Tho I do like all of the others too, including the very polished In Rainbows.

Another thing I really have to give them some credit for, the cover of Floyd's Wish You Were Here. Taking on a Floyd song would be intimidating enough. They do an excellent job with it.

that's not Radiohead! it's actually Sparklehorse featuring Thom Yorke. here:

After reading this, I researched the song. Thank you.
It seems for the most part Sparklehorse is listed as secondary, tor not mentioned at all, in most listings of this song. It's listed as a Radiohead for all intents and purposes. The downfall of having a famous front man sing on your single, I guess.

Tho obviously not so in this case, watch relying/quoting wiki. Their information can be grossly inaccurate a large part of the time.
