saw them at Lollapalooza...and I was quite impressed! I never thought I would get to see them live, and they didn't disappoint.

Their setlist was:

15 Step
Airbag
There, There
All I Need
Nude
Weird Fishes
The Gloaming
The National Anthem
Faust Arp
No Surprises
Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Reckoner
Lucky
The Bends
Everything In Its Right Place
Fake Plastic Trees
Bodysnatchers
Videotape
Paranoid Android
Dollars & Cents
House of Cards
Optimistic
2 + 2 = 5
Idioteque

Christ, that set list is identical to the one they played when they came to my city. Except I'd have said 2+2=5 was somewhere closer to the beginning, they played "Like Spinning plates" and used "Hunting Bears" as an interlude to National Anthem if I remember rightly. They definitely ended with Idioteque, I don't think I'll forget those screens going utterly insane ever.

i LOVE radiohead too! smoking smiley CREEP was their first song i feel in love with.

To fans who know more about Radiohead: what's up with "Towering Above the Rest"? It's unofficial, yes? Has the material on it been released separately? Thanks...

12/01/08 3:56 AM

it is unofficial
most of the material has not been released separately
there is a disc with remixes and there are lots of b sides on it and some of that has been released but most hasn't
the covers on it are amazing
their cover of "union city blue" is one of the best covers i have ever heard

it is certainly worth a download

I agree, I should have.

I don't even remember what I was doing that day. But I'm sure I was bitter.

How expensive were tickets?

it is too bad you didn't make it!
hopefully next time

i am really looking forward to hearing the performances from the mexico tour
they are writing at the moment and hopefully it will be like the na tour in 2006...

Just a big collection of b-sides, rarities, demos and live acts.

Oddly enough, there are some notable songs missing from it (as far as old versions of songs goes).

Myxomatosis one of my favs

12/20/08 9:33 PM

KidA is my favourite album but I also love In Rainbows.
Still disappointed that they don't seem to be coming down under for their tour. Oh well...

Aren't Radiohead like, NIN's biggest rivals at this point? I mean, they both support music downloads, and both have a large dedicated fanbase.

12/23/08 9:04 AM

You know I'm just getting into Radiohead but for such a smart & brilliant band, they do some stupid shit sometimes.

Yay for releasing DRM multitracks on fuckin iTunes.

NIN vs. Radiohead for the grammy for Best Special Limited Edition Packaging. If this doesn't make them the largest rivals in music, I dont know what does.

12/23/08 4:41 PM

As nice as the deluxe package for in rainbows was, ghosts should win, if for nothing else than how NON-enraging it was to remove the CDs. (that and being, y'know, stunning and all that)

12/23/08 4:53 PM

In Rainbows was an AMAZING record, OK Computer was really good too!

01/12/09 11:54 AM

Had to go digging for this thread, search button and all. I really dig this band and wish they would come through Vegas loved the discbox for In Rainbows but the packaging for Ghosts LE Ultra Deluxe edition was better. At least both bands try really hard to give their fans something special.

i seen them at lollapalooza and in Indiana last year, love them, very mezmerizing
