Just got back from the OKC show. Great as always.

Anyone else think the "postal" outfit Maynard is wearing could be a response/F-U to all the people bitching about the set list and saying Tool was "mailing it in" last year? If so, that's pretty funny.

Anybody going to Red Rocks tomorrow night?

I was in 101 for the final LItS show as well. grinning smiley

Loved the venue, one of the reasons it was a no brainer to go see Tool in Veags.

I love Maynard's work. Nine Inch Nails and Puscifer are like my two favorite bands.

Tool is great too, although I think Maynard's solo work is somewhat better (probably because it leans a little further towards Industrial).

Did you see Puscifer last Dec when they came through here, I never thought I'd be that blown away and have that much fun...I can't believe that I honestly felt the performance was better than Tool, but it was a riot! I love both bands and sad that I won't see Tool this summersad smiley

Me and my cousin want to see Tool on their final show in Las Vegas.

We had stuff to do when NIN was on Wave Goodbye, we don't want that to happen for Tool also.

07/02/10 6:01 PM

^Yeah, you can find awesome seats for that show on cheap tix sites for really great prices, I'm thinking I really want to go as well, but it sucks cause it's between that or going to LA for Dead Weather around the same time and yes I know TOOL is beyond Dead Weather, but I've seen Tool already for this type of tour, so I'm thinking LA, cause Dead Weather is gaining more and more of my respect every time I listen to them, they are a must-see, but then again TOOL!!!! Goddamn, I dunno what to do, it's a toss up...

07/11/10 8:12 PM

Bumpers.

In case anyone is interested, I still have the Vegas tickets for sale (see my post above).

07/16/10 1:48 PM

My friend cancelled on me, so I have an extra ticket to Monday's LA show at Nokia Theater, 30 rows back in Orchestra, if anyone is interested. Face is $90 but I'm open to suggestions. My damn buyer on craigslist just backed out and now I'm prolly gonna end up eating the ticket sad smiley

Saw the show at Viejas Arena. It was great! I was surprised by The Patient performance made me like the song more.

07/22/10 2:29 PM

Now what? NIN won't be touring anytime soon, if ever. Tool just got done with the mini tour. Hopefully they release the new album early next year and get back on the road.

I need my "high production" concert fix and those are the only two bands that do it right for me. http://smiliesftw.com/x/crying.gif

"hey guys let's just play the same 12 songs every night. you know, the same ones we've been playing for the past few years and have little to no variations of it"
"k, Maynard"

'Cept the set list actually is different from what's been played for the past few years lol.

I love the juxtaposition of a fan filmed/edited NIN tour, and then the "have security shine laser pointers in the faces of fans who are filming" version during the Tool show I saw in SF.

I really wish there could be a video of that Tool tour. Such great visuals, such great versions of their songs!

07/25/10 6:18 PM

I traveled from Chicago to Kansas City to catch the show on June 25th. It was my first time seeing Tool, and they didn't disappoint. The two highlights for me were "Third Eye" and "Lateralus."

I figured it was just security at the Sprint Center who were being prickly when it came to pics/video, but apparently not. I've never seen security so uptight about cell phone pictures before. I'd love to see a quality bootleg of the show, but any footage I've seen has been cell phones snuck low.

I thought this was awesome. I don't know if anyone here has seen it before but it's a Japanese version of Lateralus played strictly on kotos.

^^ LOVE that.

At least there is news of APC doing something. Which is awesome .. If anyone hears new Tool news, post here.

More of an APC fan, but can't go wrong with tool !
