Great band, I've heard that the band are working on recording a new album. I'm stoked for that, I enjoyed 10,000 Days but it could've been so much more to it.

My favorite album would have to be Aenema.

I'm a sucker for all things Maynard related too =/

haha but I wouldn't have it any other way! I absolutely love all of his material.

Anybody see the new toolband.com update?

APRIL 20 POST/REDUX

Remember my news post back on April 20th? The one with the photo of a tranquil Caribbean sunset and thatched shade palapa awaiting those relaxing souls (with or without a Corona)? Of course you do. Well, as I said back then: Good things are coming... Be patient... Don't speculate or over analyze. Don't search the message boards for rumors or look for this on anyone's Myspace page... Just know that good things are coming (albeit under easy sail)... So, to reiterate,... just relax...

I'm pretty sure it is. Blair probably just posted it because its kinda funny.

The best thing Tool could do would be get rid of Blair :p

i doubt this will ever happen, the band said in an interview that they dislike live dvds. Something about it doesnt have the same impact of being there.

I am too kinda of, not that i am bored of their music, they are just not very relevant right now, and of course they like to hide in the shadows between albums, so I am pretty sure most Tool fans are bored right now, sans new Tool fans.

which is a shame for those (like me) who missed them on the last tour

I read somewhere they do want to release a dvd, but the record company wants it to be their way and Tool wants it another way.

Tools’ attorney is adams brother alan. and he is the one fighting to get the dvd released in the way in which the band wants it released. meaning, no stupid edits made by the record company in regards to certain band members views on the beneficial use of psychedelic drugs.

as you all know TOOL doesnt give a shit when their material is released, all they care about is their artistic vision being completely intact.
thats why this dvd is taking so long to come out.

yeah they added drums and vocals to the new guitar hero. Also the new guitar hero has a music studio similar to garageband where you can make your own tracks to rock out to.

I love Tool. Aenema and 10,000 Days are easily 2 of my favorite albums. Actually, where the hell is my copy of 10,000 Days? shit...

08/17/08 2:23 PM

For me the top albums are Aenima > Lateralus > Undertow > 10,000 days

08/17/08 2:37 PM

I am curious to why Tool agreen to do the Guitar Hero thing and they dont want to make a DVD. I mean they do as they please but how does a DVD not fit in for Tool but Guitar Hero does.

08/18/08 3:42 AM

Tool song/songs for guitar hero might just be enough for me to buy the new guitar hero, even though I am really poor and it'll probably cost a lot of money.

Great fuckin' band, if not as motivated to produce things as Trent currently is

08/19/08 5:52 PM

Who here is also Tool Army?

*sits and waits*
It's a good thing NIN and Tool didn't tour too close together in NA. That's more money for shows than I have, and I would really hate to have to be homeless! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Woah. Thanks for posting that; I would have had no idea. I'm excited now ^_^

A friend of mine can't stand Tool, because 'the singer sounds like one of the Backstreet Boys'. His favorite band is DragonForce.

08/23/08 11:11 AM

eye popping smiley

The weird thing about Maynard's voice is that I have the hardest time recognizing it. I liked A Perfect Circle, and one day I heard The pot on KROQ, so I'm like "I like this", googling "Tool" and I realize it's the same singer. I didn't even notice...
And his voice is really different too in Puscifer. MJK has impressive voice skills.
