One of my favorite songs. I like it even better than Heroin. That and Lush's Sweetness and Light just somehow nail what it means to be an early morning song and everything that entails. As interesting as The VU's experimentation is, nothing tops this simple little 60s pop song.

Sunday Morning

01/25/11 10:29 PM

That was beautiful. Loved it.

Om du var här. Yeah, I don't understand what they're saying either. For the record, there is an English version of this song, entitled "If You Were Here," I just think this version sounds so much better and, of course, natural.

not familiar with Kent but that wasn't bad at all

Múm - Now There's That Fear Again

01/26/11 8:00 AM

I'm really only a fan of Yesterday Was Dramatic- Today Is OK, but this track hit me in sort of a Mogwai sort of way. Naturally my first thought was Sigur Ros, but for whatever reason they seem a bit more grounded. Maybe its that horn. Anyways, still not my favorite mum in the world, but it was better than anything off Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy.

Deerhoof - Milk Man

01/26/11 12:21 PM

Didn't really like it. The vocals were too thin sounding, almost watery.

Vangelis - Blade Runner Blues

01/27/11 5:36 AM

Vangelis' soundtrack soundtrack is a masterpiece, it adds so much to the visual content and the atmosphere of the movie, Blade Runner couldn't exist with a different soundtrack.

Paul White - Looking Out To See

01/27/11 9:30 AM

Not bad, but I felt like the sound quality was a bit lacking.

Ava Adore

01/27/11 12:15 PM

Ava Adore is one of my favorite SP songs. Adore as a whole is extremely underrated. But specifically, Ava Adore fixes where Corgan was going lyrically on Mellon Collie- he got the darkness and the crooked imagery down without sounding like bad highschool poetry. The highlight of Adore will always be To Sheila for me, but Ava Adore comes second. As for the music video itself, its pretty cool. By the looks of it, it was done in one continuous take, and thats a feat. The imagery is a great compliment for the song.

Dinosaur Jr. - Just Like Heaven

01/27/11 5:08 PM

Interesting video to say the least, not exactly my kind of music but it made me laugh. grinning smiley

I love anything that Porcupine Tree does. Saw them last spring and they were phenomenal.
Richard Simmons walks it out

01/27/11 8:27 PM

I probably wouldn't have liked the song if it weren't for the video. That was hilarious. Perfect fit.

Idioter.

01/28/11 6:15 AM

^^Not bad--I kinda liked it. thumbs up

I love this gal's voice--very bluesy sounding:

Rolling In The Deep--Adele

01/28/11 8:13 AM

from what i could understand i liked the lyrics, but the bluesy sound didn't appeal to my tastes..maybe it's just my mood.

if you don't like this, something is wrong with you, haha, jk

Dueling Ninjas

01/28/11 9:05 AM

That is pretty incredible fret work. His left hand doesn't even seem like it's attached to his body.

Everyday Struggle

01/28/11 1:08 PM

Love me some Biggie Smalls! That black Kentucky Fried Chicken eatin', gangsta killin, chronic smokin', Oreo cookie eatin', pickle juice drinkin', chicken gristle eatin', biscuit suckin', V8 juice drinkin', slim fast, black greasy muthafucka!

Smooth Criminal gangstafied x10

01/28/11 3:06 PM

You are two for two. Fantastic!

Smooth Criminal

01/28/11 4:12 PM

Impressive perfomance. But it wouldn't be some i'd listen to if i had an only audio version.

Bibio - Oval Emerald Vertigo

01/28/11 6:07 PM

Bibio is a good one, but I only know Ambivalence Avenue. This is what I imagine Boards of Canada would sound like if they didnt have beats. I cant say this track is great, but it touches on some nice feelings (for lack of a better word). One thing I'd like to know, does he compose this stuff or does he just warp samples around?

TNT - Tortoise

01/29/11 4:37 AM

Pretty good. I've always been told i should listen to Tortoise but never actually thought about it.

Flying Lotus - Kill Your Co-Workers

01/29/11 5:20 PM

Me likey. 8.42/10

IAN

01/29/11 11:01 PM

Not really my thing, but not bad. I liked how the video incorporated Nightmare on Elm Street.

Money Grabber

01/30/11 3:44 PM

Pretty good, the chorus is amazing, wish the verses were as powerful.

One of the most epic songs i've ever heard

01/30/11 5:19 PM

So, this is where The Avalanches came from. Its like a swing song with emphasis on beats. I dig the Number Song style breakdown towards the end.

Beck - Elevator Music

02/02/11 12:33 PM

Beck rocks...it really is that simple.

Butthole Surfers - Who Was In My Room Last Night

02/02/11 1:03 PM

Pretty insane. Love the video. The only problem is the vocals.

Chris Clark - Wolf

02/04/11 6:58 AM

02/06/11 1:18 PM

That was pretty good. I really couldn't understand the lyrics that much. Good nonetheless though.

Dead Souls (Live)

I love the dancing early on in this video.

02/06/11 2:35 PM

I envy those lucky souls who got to see Joy Division live. Great clip.

Just found out they've split. FUUUUU-

02/06/11 3:17 PM

very cool song, typical of Gorillaz

Takanashi Yasuharu - Prominence
