1. The Avalanches
2. The Postal Service
3. Radiohead
4. The XX
5. MGMT

Ummm.... I suppose in that particular order. It really just depends on how I'm feeling at the moment.

The Postal Service really struck a chord with me:

"this place is a prison, these people are not your friends...
and you may case the grounds from the Cascades to the Puget Sound,
but you are not allowed to leave"

These lyrics connect to me so well because that was precisely the situation I was in for my entire life up until last year when I finished high school: trapped between the Cascades and the Puget Sound. Now I'm in college and everything is better. I've met some of the coolest and happiest people I'll ever know. "Kids" by MGMT is the ringtone on my friends phone and whenever I hear that song I always think of her. I'm happier than I've ever been.

If your talking about Lush the shoegaze/dreampop band well then they are a really good band. I've been listening to quite a bit of Lush lately too.

Oh, definitely it's them. I spent most of my early 20s in love with those beautiful ladies and their music. I never get bored with their ethereal jaggly rock. I also really love Slowdive and Mira, but they're a different creature altogether compared to what Lush was doing back then.

I've noticed Lush has had a bit of a resurgence recently, some folks I know are claiming them MBV's equal.
