I have such a hard time picking a favourite song. Or album for that matter, but I often come back to Oh! Darling. Definitely one of my top choices.

But there are so many..

George Harrison was amazing, and I can remember how sad I was the day he passed away (even though I was only 11 at the time). My favorite, though, was and still is Paul McCartney. Has anybody listened to his two most recent albums? Both are very, very good.

09/02/08 1:00 AM

Haven't checked out McCartney's recent stuff... I'll have to get 'em on ebay!!

09/03/08 2:25 AM

I keep reading folks saying - things like - my fav is You Can't Do That!!!

Did no one see the vid I posted close to the beginning of this thread?!?!?!?!?

And still nobody mentions "Think For Yourself," despite it being one of the best songs on Rubber Soul

Happiness is Warm Gun is simply the greatest song ever!!!!!!!!!

CUBS you beat me to it! Happiness is a Warm Gun is definitely my favorite Beatles song. Then Hey Bulldog, Something, and Revolution 9.
My favorite Beatle tends to switch back and forth between John and George

Oh, and does anyone else feel like throwing something at the TV when those Target commercials come on?

My favourite Beatle.

I just mute the television.

Fortunately, I don't watch TV because of the very reason that you are citing, its ability to destroy all that is beautiful in the world.

Anyway, god lives in the Beatles.

Depressing fucking story time...

I had ALL of the original albums on vinyl at one point. I even had an original copy of Two Virgins complete with brown bag overcover. My ex pawned it all!! I almost went to jail over that.

"Tommorow Never Knows" sounds fresh---even now. If you just threw that on the radio and didn't tell anyone who it was people would be flipping out at how different it is...

For sure. I absolutely love that song!

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"....one of my favourites.
"Across the Universe"....this song kills me, I love it.

There are too many amazing Beatles songs smiling smiley

My favorite Beatle songs are probably Blackbird, Across The Universe, Rain, and the whole Revolver album.

A really great brand, and one of my favorites.

09/20/08 9:42 PM

The Beatles were my first favorite group. I was 5 years old when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan show and I remember kissing Paul on the television and dancing around the living room. I had my Beatle card collection and my flasher ring and pin back buttons that I got out of the gum machine. I saw "Hard Day's Night" at the movie theatre during its original run. You couldn't hear the movie because the audience screamed during the whole thing.

In the 80s, I used to go to clubs to see a local cover band that did all British Invasion stuff. I danced my ass off many, many nights. It was great fun.

At this point in my life, The Beatles are part of my past. The music has no relevance to me. I'd probably turn the channel if they came on the radio.

I love The Beatles.. they´re so perfect. I´ve listening them since I was a child
A top 3?
1-Abbey Road
2-The Bealtes (aka White Album)
3-The Magical Mistery Tour*

* n°3 varies

09/21/08 8:49 PM

I Am The Walrus is my favorite song from The Beatles. Its so twisted and the sound is very abstract and discounted. Yeah great stuff. The White Album is great too. Magical Mystery is also my favorite album.

I agree. The odd song he has here or there is usually one of my favourites out of whatever album it's on. "I've Just Seen A Face" always has been and always will be my favourite song on 'Help!'

But John was by far the most consistant of the 2 main Beatles. Ticket To Ride, Norwegian Wood, Tomorrow Never Knows, I Am The Walrus, Strawberry Fields Forever, Glass Onion, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey, Come Together, I Want You (She's So Heavy) - he did most of that stuff on his own, ya know. And he pretty much invented heavy metal with that last one.

i loved love loved the beatles so very much for a very long time... i got really into them when i was about 12 and was pretty obsessed for most of my life
i have a crazy collection from this time, posters, vinyl, ash trays, lunchboxes, clothing, lighters, action figures, john lennon pacifier and baby bottle (i don't even have kids)

when i was 20 i spent 2 weeks in liverpool and did crazy stuff ... climbed over the fence at strawberry fields and freaked the guy i went there with out super hard (he said i was worse than a japanese tourist hehehe, i was cleaning the garbage up at the site)
hung out at the docks a lot... watched a ferry cross the mersey (jerry and the pacemakers)
the guy that owned the hostel i stayed at had a band that played in a band that competed with the beatles in battle of the bands type stuff. it was awesome and he had a lot of great stories
ate at sgt peppers bistro in penny lane... cried at the end of the beatles experience museum, cried at the end with the recreation of the imagine video set
this was probably the apex of my beatlemania... after that i don't know what happened?
i still love their music but my obsession has quiteted and i don't listen to them nearly as much as i used to... don't really gush anymore either, don't gobble up every piece of information i can...

love the beatles but i have to say i am not in love with them anymore
hah!

revolver used to be my favorite
but i find that now i pretty much only find myself listening to the white album

The greatest band in the world...and that's a fact!
The Beatles have always been my favourite band in the world, George in particular is my favourite, my drama teacher who was a fan aswell told me the news and I bursted out crying in the middle of class.
