Ok, ha ha TB:RB, despite their putting up this image:

as a "hint" and Dig A Pony being one of the known TB:RB tracks, the video they posted tonight was Ticket To Ride.

Keep an eye on the TB:RB facebook site if you wish to see it without pre-ordering. grinning smiley

It's great to know the influence that The Beatles still have on a younger generation, my brother being only 11 was extremely upset by the thought of him not being able to play The Beatles Rockband as it's the same day he starts at his new boarding school, unfortunately he will have to wait another 4 weeks until he can get the chance.

If there is one band I'm glad I've influenced him it will be The Beatles.

Also I don't know if you've come across this but this is a photo of Paul McCartney reading a comic whilst taking a school photo.

On a related note Rheebles, I am currently making preparations to move across the pond to your neck of the woods (Liverpool specifically, I know you're in London, but I'll be a ton closer, maybe we can plan a tea one day or something!). YAY!!!!!!!!! smiling smiley

Would you care to sit with me
For a cup of English tea
Very twee, very me
Any sunny morning

What a pleasure it would be
Chatting so delightfully
Nanny bakes fairy cakes
Every Sunday morning

Miles and miles of English garden, stretching past the willow tree
Lines of hollyhocks and roses, listen most attentively

I think the thing I'm most miffed about is, my brother has wii guitar hero apparently guitar hero is compatible with rockband on PS3, Xbox and think a couple other consoles but not on wii which means I have to buy another guitar just to play Rockband, if it wasn't the Beatle's I wouldn't be bothering.

I saw Paul McCartney last week in Dallas and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to (minus NIN and Muse) tongue sticking out smiley
Almost 3 hours, 2 encores. During "Got to Get you in to My Life" they had the rockband version in the background it looks AMAZING.
He dedicated songs to Linda, John and George, it was sad, but really good.

Amazing show.

Hopefully this thread will be updated when the multitracks become available. Throw those up in a torrent. The ETS RB multitracks thread is a bitch to keep up with and I think The Beatles should be separate from that anyways.

Can you tell how amped I am for the multitracks? lol

Apparently, Giles Martin (Sir George Martin's son) worked tirelessly to take The Beatles' music apart from the top down. There was specific software that had to be used to basically boost the individual voices and instruments so that they could be "lifted" and then transfered to a track by themselves.

For those heinous individuals being so hateful toward The Beatles Rock Band (CharmlessMan, I'm looking at you tongue sticking out smiley, lol), the game would not have seen the light of day if Dhani Harrison himself had not been such a huge Rock Band fan. It was Dhani who worked tirelessly to get the blessings of his mom, Yoko, Ringo and lastly, Paul (who - oddly - was seemingly the hardest to sell on the game). Once they all signed on though, they ALL became completely invested to the point of Paul doing fact checking, Yoko perfecting John's avatar and Ringo commenting that his drumsticks "never flew that high", lol. So nyaaah! I'm in good company. *sticks tongue out and puts thumbs in ears* grinning smiley

It seems the mania is back, with the release of Rockband, the albums being re-released in stereo, radio 2 doing a 3 day marathon and on the front of MOJO and Radio Times magazine and all to the band that broke up 40 years ago.

When people say that The Beatles are overrated, I don't mind, but what people have to realise is the people who never understood the mania were The Beatles themselves, when they broke up, John didn't think the band was important, with all the acrimony between the band members, the dissolution of Apple corps and Northern song being sold off to the point where Michael Jackson bought the rights in 1985.

The one thing you can't deny is the impact they have on popular culture, to me they're the most powerful band on the planet, not just because of their music, but because of their personas, they didn't have to do anything, but just stand there and girls would still go completely barmy, the headshake would make them go completely ecstatic, to me that's more powerful than Mick Jagger prancing around like a twat, it shows that the Rolling Stones had to work twice as hard just to get the same reaction that The Beatles could get by, well doing nothing.

As you can probably tell I adore The Beatles and I apologise if I'm just ranting, but I just feel this is something I should share, as most people I know that are my age, don't give The Beatles the time of day (all because they're from 60s)so I hope you don't mind.

Q: "Why does it (Beatlemania) excite them so much?"

PAUL: "We don't know. Really."

JOHN: "If we knew we'd form another group and be managers."

08/28/09 5:13 PM

This is wonderful Rheebles! grinning smiley

The mania is definitely back in my house!

haha I know, I think because of the release of Rockband we've spend more time in that thread, saying that though even though I do practically have all there albums, I am still comtemplating on getting the albums in stereo

09/03/09 10:58 AM

REVOLVER MOTHERFUCKERS! The remasters sound great; definitely will be getting the Mono box set. You just can't go wrong with the Beatles.

09/03/09 11:26 AM

Somewhere along the line I became a "motherfucker[s]" and had no idea. Hmmm...

Anyway, I'll not be capable of doing the box set of the stereo remasters at first, it was a choice of TBRB or the remasters... TBRB FTW!!!

I'll be acquiring them as soon as I can though, I've read reviews that are saying that they're tremedous!
