So its okay for you to trash the music I like, but its not okay for me to say I don't like the Beatles? Do I sense hypocrisy? And just because Trent likes the Beatles, doesn't mean I have to and doesn't mean that I can't like NIN because I don't like the Beatles. You're getting mad at me because I don't like the Beatles and saying my taste in music is bad, yet some of you are also saying that taste in music is all subjective. So make up your mind.

Is it or is it not subjective? Is it or is it not okay to trash someone's taste in music? Make up your mind, because you're getting mad at me for doing exactly what you're doing.

You're the kinds of people who seem to like boring music, other than NIN and excuse me for liking music with emotion behind it. I don't listen to stuff that I'd play to my baby to put it to sleep. I listen to stuff that raises the roof. Excuse me for wanting a little excitement.
Granted, my opinion IS subjective and I fully admit that. But I still have the right to express it.
So you Beatle hypocrites can have a fun time worshiping your idols, I'll be out there enjoying more exciting music.

I honestly thought she was just being a total bitch. Now I read all of this & see that she honestly just doesn't get what she, herself is saying. I mean, aside from not reading what others have written, she just doesn't get it does she?

God, now I feel nothing more than pity for her. LOL To go through life like that.

Wow, just wow.

Yes, but before she leaves, I need her to listen to this song and tell me if there's any passion, talent, or emotion in it. 'cause I can't tell.

Yes, yes I have.

Okay now. Here is nicely expressing your opinion: Seeing a Beatles thread in a music forum, scoffing at it and moving on. Here's how to not nicely express your opinion: go into said thread and make an uneducated post and make yourself look like a fool, then to make it worse, go BACK into the thread because you're just SO adamant about letting people know how much you hate something. eye rolling smiley

For being a bunch of no talent, irrelevent, old, washouts they sure do inspire some fierce loyalty even from the folks who don't like (but do respect) them!

Yeah, I shitlisted her for it.

Apparently her Kurt Cobain was murdered thread isn't doing so hot because she insults people there too if they won't agree with her.

She's not making any friends, I can tell you that much. I guess she just wants attention, kinda like pony girl - what's her name?

02/08/09 1:06 AM

I find it ironic that Kurt Cobain loved the Beatles.

02/08/09 1:10 AM

LOL

That's true, he did. If I wasn't on my iPod I'd find you a quote. Lol

02/08/09 1:14 AM

He wrote "About a Girl" one night after listening to "Meet The Beatles" on repeat. Lol.

02/08/09 1:22 AM

Holy cow, if that doesn't make sense. LOL

Ah me, I just don't even know. Like I said, pity, just pure pity.

02/08/09 1:32 AM

I need to go to bed sweetheart. I'm feeling the effects of extreme fatigue (tears from my eyes, yawning excessively & the like). G'nite hon!

*rolls over & goes to sleep, complete with snoring & everything*

John Lennon's a waiter shoveling spaghetti in my dream. LOL

02/08/09 1:32 AM

I'm not even gonna waste my pity juice. Lolz.

...OK I don't know WTF is going on in here, but i was just thinking about that song on revolver I think... dr. robert... i don't really like it, but it's been a long time since I've listened to the beatles, and it's one song that keeps coming to mind... don't ask me why.

honestly my favorite album is probably rubber soul... tho i like all of them, and let it be is also up there... along w/ revolver, abbey road, white album, sgt pepper's...

i should totally start listening again...

02/08/09 2:55 PM

I never cared for Rubber Soul besides a handful of songs (I'm Looking Through You, If I Needed Someone, and Think For Yourself are the first three that come to mind). My favorite Beatles album (and maybe even the best, most influential album of all time) is Revolver, despite containing one of the band's worst songs (Yellow Submarine).

Well, and Dr. Robert

Yellow Submarine was simply a Ringo vehicle. Regardless of whether you like the song or not, it was a great movie! lol grinning smiley

BTW, great pics kiki, wish I could have seen that!

Paul McCartney's vital statistic

Name: James Paul McCartney
Born: 18th June 1942, Liverpool (Near Wales)
Hair: Many thousands
Eyes: Just Two
Favourite Music: Good
Favourite Colour: All
Loves of Life: Linda and Kids

Even the though Paul is my least favourite, he has some shining moment as being very funny.

02/12/09 3:33 PM

lol!

I've always liked Paul just fine. There are those who see him as big-headed, or the ones who claim that it was him who broke up the Beatles (source material says it was pretty much a 4 way tie on who wanted to leave the worst, lol); I've just really never had any problems with him myself.

The vital statisics thing is really funny, especially the "many thousands" answer on the hair question.

this is where I got my av from

I might have to change mine again, even though it's funny, it's missing the most important element of all...George.

Oh and here's one I found that the girl (sorry couldn't be bothered to remember your name)who kept slagging them off should have a look at.
