watching that video again, although well made, just smacks of a desperation to cling to the spotlight, like madonna circa-erotica.
i much prefer the music vid & short film jonas directed for the smashing pumpkins, although i don't like that he altered the ending to the music video, instead of leaving it the same as the film. i guess a record label decision perhaps? both are completely different themes and style, but far more impact that anything gaga had in her video. hers came off more like a "hey! look at me! i'm so edgy and controversial!" and it didn't really wash with me. i'm dumbfounded by the australian parents who've been taking their kids to the gaga shows though. they clearly know what her angle is, to try as hard as she can to be controversial to stay in the spotlight, yet they take their daughters to the shows, dressing them up like little poledancers no-less - then cry to the media and anyone else who'll listen after that gaga's tour should come with a warning and be 'adults only'. regardless of what i think of her as an "artist", shit like that is ridiculous. parents can't have it both ways. take some fucking responsibility

The more and more I see this thread, the more and more I wanna but her CD's.
I've only seen a few of her videos and love them, but is putting her music on my computer bound to drive me insane? I can't actually remember what any of her songs even sound like, but I hear all about how they get stuck in your head and wont go away. I've also never really been into pop, but I like to explore. Are they worth it? Thoughts?  | |
