pask member Joined: 11/27/07 Posts: 2,380	well they're all copying each other. aside of the costumes, gaga's barely any different to the pop women who came before her. they're like major rock bands, there's a way of doing those kinda shows, and most rarely deviate from the plan, some just add a few more OTT elements for attention, then the next level down like miley & britney just wobble around the stage lip syncing & let their lame dancers deflect the attention from their lack of any real talent. when it comes to pop singers, the only one i really have any respect for these days is pink, but even her last tour borrowed a lot from cher of all people.

It's so simple in its instrumentation but the melodies and the subject matter are what sealed the deal for me. I also think that the song showcases her vocal, piano, and songwriting abilities and what she's capable of doing. (She wrote the entire song herself, with no help from a producer in fleshing it out.)
