She started getting my attention with the "Bad Romance" video. She keeps reminding me of Marilyn Manson. and now look at that last photo posted here...she looks dead-set like MM!!!!

My fantasy is that she could be the next MM. ..I hope she has it in her.

When comparing the 2, people seem to forget that whereas MM was capable of producing great music while wearing clown makeup, GaGa just profoundly sucks.

AnnaDraconida, you have to try and let people enjoy themselves.

Come on, now. Just take a deep breath. I know it can't be easy reading everything in here. I can't do it myself. I don't have it in me. But you gotta understand that when people come here, they try to avoid the apathy. I don't want more apathy than I already feel.

Come a-on! winking smiley

To be honest, I didn't like her the first time I heard her. I was just like pask and Anna, but look at me now, she's probably my favorite artist bar none now. To make it even better when I actually said ok I actually like this I went on this magical little thing called YouTube and found her acoustic performances at NYU from when she was just Stefani Germanotta, aspiring musician, and that just made me like her even more. Why? Because it proved that she has pretty much unparalled musical talent. She has a very nice voice, she happens to be an amazing pianist, and she actually wasn't just handed this whole music deal. She actually worked hard to get to where's she's at now.

02/02/10 11:51 PM

I think she has a wonderful voice, but I don't buy her image. I'm also not a fan of the music she produces, at least the album versions. Everything I've ever heard of her alone at a piano, I liked. This dance/pop shit just seems really fake.

02/03/10 12:07 AM

I think if she did an acoustic album (idk if the label would sign off on that though) all the people who don't like her or claim she is a terrible musician would immediately eat their words. If they just heard Stefani Germanotta, the pianist as her Lady Gaga alter ego, they'd stop badmouthing her.

02/03/10 12:15 AM

I agree. I'd give an acoustic album by her a pretty fair chance, as long as it didn't have Poker Face on it. I'm sorry - I don't think that song is even good on piano.

02/03/10 12:19 AM

I liked her performance of it on SNL. Might not have been out of the ballpark great but it was well done.

02/03/10 3:35 AM

As long as Jon Mayer, Dave Mathews and Nickleback are still around they will have my full attention of hatred, I just can't fit anybody else in at this time LOL

02/03/10 7:07 AM

and she would start stuffing things in her ass on stage.
Wow, I've empowered my fantasy so good.

02/03/10 8:14 PM

Lady Gaga's got some junk in her trunk! Which is good. grinning smiley

She's easy on the ears and the eyes.

she is fucking awful, and stole her shitty act from another group that was previously on her label. she even stole their press kit, myspace page, album art design and recent promo tage-line of "feels so sexual", when the original group's line was "feels electro sexual".

i can't remember who the other group is, but i'll try dredge up that particular group's outraged posts on myspace last year which detailed both their web pages, press kits and album covers alongside hers. there was only about 10% difference between them, if that.

it just appears her label (streamline/interscope) liked the package of the previous group, and once they left/got dropped, the label tweaked and re-packaged it as lady gaga and started cashing in on the whole scene thing that's taking forever to die off.

i don't like her as a person either. she's exremely fucking arrogant for a one-album wonder pop performer, thinks she's the biggest thing to ever hit the music industry and talks more shit than marilyn manson & bono combined.

I'd love to see you try to do what she has done in two quick years pask. Oh right you couldn't! So quit running your mouth.

02/05/10 5:25 PM

I tried to hate her too. I failed.

02/06/10 3:34 PM

Like I said I did too...

If behind anyone in this forum there was a record label investing millions of dollars, believe me, anyone could achieve what she has, it's all a matter of having the resources, and once you have the money, you can do whatever the fuck you want.

02/07/10 1:30 PM

But before all of that she was quite successful as an underground artist. That's what brought her the fame (no pun intended).

02/07/10 3:14 PM

I think Lady GaGa is a hoot. It's a manufactured persona - like a cross between Marilyn Manson and Madonna - meant to be sensational, not to be great music. Not that the music is bad, it's just pop - catchy pop. I love it that she proclaims herself the next great gay icon. I love the crazy outfits, the unusual choreography, the wild stage shows. I always tune in when she's on tv.

I find it interesting that people feel the need to self-righteously trash her for making "bad" music. Lighten up, go with it and have fun, or leave it alone.

02/07/10 2:47 PM

I think it's not really about "good" or "bad" music. As you say, it's just pop, catchy songs meant to be like that, not much content, just something to enjoy for a few minutes, not something deep, with meaning that requires a good analysis... I think the issue comes when people (fans) or the "artist" himself tries to portray a different image, the one of a talented musician that has all it takes to change the world of music with his/her talent and great ideas.

02/07/10 3:22 PM

I think the issues really is people have a bug up their ass really.

02/10/10 7:56 AM

So nobody's gonna mention the fact that she won two Grammys?

02/10/10 8:01 AM

Ruben I'm not sure most people know, you had to go to the Grammy site to figure that out. And maybe no one cared enough for the Grammys to check out who won what besides what was shown on TV. That's just my guess.

02/10/10 9:07 AM

her dresses are crazy as shit!
rah rah ah ah ah ah
roma roma mamaa
ga ga oo la laa

Ha, I love that episode of seinfeld!

Lady Gaga put out a two good albums "The Fame" & "The Fame Monster". I like her songs their more dance/electronica to me.

02/13/10 10:28 PM

The Gaga Law: (RAH)² (AH)³ + RO (MA + MAMA) + (GA)² + OOH(LA)² = Bad Romance

02/13/10 9:32 PM

lol I joined ^ that page on Facebook. It's also my iPod Touch screensaver. Except mine says "Bad Romance for Nerds".

02/14/10 3:25 PM

A demo of my The Fame cover is up here [bit.ly]
