Ex-Hole Guitarist Claims Kurt Cobain Was Recording Solo Album
Eric Erlandson compares material to 'The White Album'

In an interview with Fuse.tv, former Hole guitarist and co-founder Eric Erlandson claimed that Kurt Cobain was working on new material around the time of his death. Comparing the solo work to the Beatles' classic White Album, Erlandson spoke about the direction of the rumored demos.

"That's really what he was going towards, a solo album but working with different people," said Erlandson. "I got to see him play it in front of me."

Erlandson also mentioned a cover among the demos, admitting, "I won't say what it is. I don't own the stuff. I just hope that one day it will be released for fans."

Although rare Nirvana demos have been released before, like 2004's box set With the Lights Out, the existence of a possible Cobain solo album is unconfirmed outside Erlandson's claim. Erlandson recently released the book Letters to Kurt, and he reunited with the original Hole lineup for a reunion show last week.

I saw Hole about two years ago and she was awesome. She's a talented singer and a true rockstar. I hope that she doesn't have a meltdown and can make peace with her daughter and the surviving members of Nirvana. Life's too short.

You can hope for that, but we all know Courtney's track record. She likes to burn bridges. This may sound like a biased opinion, because I can't stand her. I could only imagine the shit Frances had to deal with growing up. I think she is too stubborn to make peace with anybody. For years she kept Nirvana's rare songs from being released. She never should've owned their song rights. As you know, Krist and Dave took her to court to win them back. That's why we have "With the Lights Out" and other releases. She was quick to sell his journals though.

Kurt may have not been the best guitar player or singer but he was a DAMN good song writer

Also obligatory In Utero > Nevermind

I think that he was a great singer. As for ranking him as a guitarist, it depends what you are using as your criteria. Maybe he wasn't technically the best player, but his soloing fit the type of music he was writing, and he was one hell of a songwriter.

As much as I like In Utero, I like Nevermind better, by just a inch.

I decided to pick up the remaster of Bleach today. It sounds a little sharper than the original, but didn't sound like they tried to polish it too much. The CD booklet and complete 1990 concert alone made it worth purchasing.

It's probably my least favorite of the three major albums, but I've always liked it. I'll give the concert a listen this weekend.

I think Kurt Cobain as a Lyricist may have admired the PHM-album,,hence the nirvana lyric from teen spirit "... I, confess, for, fear, you, ,best........."

for it seems that being a popular musician one is often careful about word choice, due to regard ********************************
