There is nothing I do not love about this guy. From his super-wired existence to his building his fanbase without going anywhere near a record deal, NME, Rolling Stone, the radio or anything close to it.
Also, he writes music about the following:
- Self-loathing giant squid
-
Code Monkeys
- Evil Geniuses who just want their beautiful captives to love them
- Life in a Suburban Hellhole
- the joy of IKEA
- Sky Mall
- terrifying, wonderful parenthood
- an e-mail from that co-worker who hasn't always been a zombie but has always been kind of a dick.
- an ode to Mandelbrot's awesomeness
- A homocidal computer congratulating you for destroying it
- a Christmas card from a Robot-enslaved family mining an asteroid.
I love it because under all the geek layers, the emotion's real. It reminds me of that nerd who is trying so hard to tell his dream girl how he feels and the best he can do is a Buffy analogy.
