I saw them at The Apollo Theater when they released Demon Dayz and I was blown away. They literally had EVERYONE that guest appeared on their album perform at the show. And the sound was tight. I heard they had to reschedule shows in Europe because all the guest singers couldn't attend and they want to spare no expense and have some dopey fill in take their place. Hell, if they're willing to do that...I'm all for it. I love the new album and can't wait to see the songs performed live. The only thing that makes me weary is that more and more attention is being brought to Damon and not to the actual cartoon band. But still, the show should be absolutely killer and a good time. My boyfriend surprised me with tickets today since I had been telling everyone for awhile that I wanted to go and am ridiculously broke at the moment. I'm really excited about the concert tomorrow since its a festival that has a bunch of other pretty awesome bands playing too.

So I didn't know til today that Smashing Pumpkins are putting on a free show at a small venue in Scottsdale, but the only way to get tickets is to win them through radio stations and raffles at certain stores, I'm not gonna go through that trouble, but I find it cool that SP is at least doing something through here randomly like this and for FREE!!! I wish I could go

Festivals are always fun to go to. =) nin_rockmysocks - I actually have yet to see The Toadies.....everyone here in Austin LOVES them....but I still have yet to see them live. Definitely report back on how they were live. RhettButtler - I'll be seeing STP soon too. I hope they are still a good live band.

September 23 - Film School @ The Parish in Austin, TX Since the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club show was postponed in SA for that day I decided to check out Film School after all since I wanted to go to that show anyways but hesitated before on getting tickets before because BRMC were having a show that day.
