you have an impressive talent, my dear! some beautifully awesome pieces on display here. i perceive a measure of discipline in your work that i recognize as lacking in my own; far too often, i do not commit myself to fully fleshing out an idea, and getting down to expending the full, necessary effort required to see it through.
but i've been trying to change this. i hope you'll forgive some minor piggybacking on your thread with a piece of my own, the first one ive seen through start to finish in far, far too long. i didn't see a "misc artwork" thread anywhere, and starting a new one for a single painting seemed excessive: 
this is my first attempt at dabbling w/ watercolor, oblivious to nearly any semblance of advance technique, and simply seeing what i could pull off. it isn't perfect, but i'm quite pleased w/ how it turned out, overall. i only ever draw/paint to music. this one's all Florence + The Machine, through and through. again, i hope you forgive the brief hijacking; i admire the work you put up here greatly. no disrespect is meant. but seeing beautiful art is always inspiring, and anything i can use to keep the momentum going can only be a good thing. i look forward to seeing more of your great work! | |

 thanks for the heads up on the YouTube clips; I'll definitely check that out.
Yeah, I couldn't ever imagine NOT having music playing while working on a picture. And it absolutely has to fit the mood of the piece, like you said. Sometimes it'll just be one song on constant loop; those are the times when the headphones become necessary.
It just used to be easier- not only to find the time, but to devote the mental determination and focus to such a single purpose. There are so many cursed distractions now... Would that I could reclaim the degree of pure enthusiasm I had when I was 15-16, undiluted by modern cares and worries. | |

It's only now that I've been able to focus again. And yeah, things were much more simple back when you didn't have responsibilities.. I found it hard to make friends when I was younger (still do), so having art was always a nice little escape, plus I had nothing else better to do besides get into trouble, paint, or play video games, lol.
