Can you tell us more about it? pleasesmiling bouncing smiley

The colors are fantastic too, btw.

Thanks grinning smiley.

The only thing I can really say about it is that it was something I envisioned while listening to The Great Below one night. I thought of the two statues and the person falling in the water and then when I painted it I added in a few objects to make it more interesting and better fitting with the song.

@ thehypogecko... Nice work, can imagine that it was alot of work because I've done the same type of thing with wooden plates (my results went so impressive as yours tho winking smiley)

@ Clincher09... Kinda like the cover of a HG Wells or Jules Verne book. I like!

Edit: Damn the typos!

Thanks! I'm surprised myself at how well it came out. That's the only metal plate etching I've ever done. I looked into making more a couple years later, but the acid isn't exactly something you can just go down to the store and buy.

This blew me away. I love the Sandman series, and I'd always thought that a Trent/Morpheus blended image would be fantastic, I'd just never been able to get it right. This is now my desktop background. Unbelievable work!

I painted this as my scrapbook cover with 3 or 4 coats of acyrlic. The pics are blury & dull but it's the best I could do for now. The nail is 9 inches and I made it with femo clay (the brackets too). Cliche, I know, but it was a lot of fun!
Now I just need to fill the book.

That is awesome! i always have a massive problem with coloured pencils...the paper ends up with some grain in it from the pencils! (maybe that i am pressing too hard?)

That is gorgeous! The same image would've made a killer cover for the AVOTT DVD, much better than the lame design that was supposedly picked by the voters (every such contest is rigged one way or the other).

You have a lot of potential. The only thing about this that's bothering me is the mouth. I feel like it's sticking out too much, that it isn't where it's supposed to be.

Okay, so I tend to critique fanart in here. But it's never anything completely negative. I try to make it constructive and provide a guide on what can be improved or something else to try.

Yep,youre completely right. The mouth was my biggest issue indeed.I ereased it way too much and I ended up just loosing my nerves and leaving it like that.Thank you.I will work and try to do it better on my next drawing^^

I've been pondering whether posting these, given the unbelievable talent of present company, is ridiculous... but my geekery has gotten the better of me.

This is what can happen when I'm overcome by whim when working. I fired this pot raku resist/"naked raku" last summer with an untried slip and I really hated it (and changed resist slips!) So I thought I'd re-fire and play with the resist... Resist. Oh, resist. !!! I just had to take that to a new level of dorktastic (even for me!)

I blame the espresso. grinning smiley (and the fact that I usually listen to NIN when I'm working!)

I am officially in deep and abiding love with this glaze. Everything that isn't the lettering is a single glaze - it really turns all of those colors, creates those surface effects, and goes from matte to luster all on its own (very controlled application, and hella reduction post-fire, FTW!)
We'll be running away together, the glaze and I -- I want to have its babies. (omg!nerd!LOL)

Yeah. So that took 1 1/2 hours. Tried up some new stuff with my style (I've posted here before, only two drawings waaaaay back), and I quite like it. I have to say, it's my favorite work of mine recently (out of like 5 drawings of Trent).

Was done from inspiration of this piccy:

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l72/masquerade_07/nin-22.jpg

Which I thought was the most gorgeous piccy of Trent I've seen in a very long time. xP Critiques are encouraged and welcomed. grinning smiley *bounces*

Btw, for those who want to know, I just used a #2 (like, a real, #2 pencil! o_O [which I hate usually, but I had no other pencils with me]) pencil on 80 lb. paper (my favorite for portraits and graphite because of the tooth). x3 I have to say, I always want to stab myself when I'm drawing the eye area for him and his hair. >-<
