Hey everybody : ), I'm not a professional or anything, just putting up some of my photography. I photograph really just for fun, so some of you might think I'm an amateur or something. Well eye rolling smiley, I am.
I'd very much appreciate feedback smiling smiley, and if you've got some hints or anything, anything's welcome.
Thanks!

Now here's my photography:

Didn't really do much photoshopwork with the others, but this one looked cooler a bit photoshopped.

The leaf with the water drops I like best...some of those photos are really good. Nice work. Hope you're satisfied with this (short) comment!

Thank you : ), and well, at least someone said something eye rolling smiley.
More feedback please!
... O.o

Agreed, the leaf with the water droplets is the best one you put up.

In my opinion, I think besides the leaf and the butterfly, your pictures are pretty plain. (A few of mine are too so don't worry lol) But when I try to take pictures I try to find something unique about the scene I am photographing.
Maybe you should try more photoshopping, and I say that because of this picture you took:
[i625.photobucket.com]
I bet that was really plain and boring when you first looked at it on your computer. But by enhancing the colors you made it something incredibly beautiful and pleasing to look at.

And I am curious, what kind of camera do you use?

I know, most of my pics are usually kinda boring. I just can't seem to concentrate on some certain thing or angle or whatever while photographing. But I think I'll learn that when I'm more experienced.
My camera isn't really that good.. Just a normal digital camera I think... It's Canon Powershot A590 IS.

Thanks for the compliments and tips! grinning smiley

Hmmmmh, I'm adding some more pics. Again, haven't bothered to edit much.
Sorry if they're kinda huge eye rolling smiley, if that bothers someone I'll just change the pics to links.

I'd appreciate any kind of comments grinning smiley and, does anyone know what kind of a butterfly is that on the 3rd and 4th pic? O.o

09/10/10 3:49 PM

You got an eye for Photographie! Your pics are nice, espacially the winter ones! I think I know what kind of butterfly this is. In German it´s called Pfauenauge, in English it´s peacock I think.

09/11/10 4:26 AM

Oh, so it seems, thanks! grinning smiley

I just discovered the macro-mode in my camera a while ago (didn't think a normal digital camera would have that lol) so lots of my pictures are close-ups x) but I think I'll get past this phase soon enough : D

09/12/10 2:42 AM

Hey lucyfer! Sorry for the offtopic, but I couldn´t just await to see some opinions about the portrait I did, ´cause it´s the first one I made winking smiley... I´m glad you like it. To redress this broken forum rule I posted this Picture I took this summer smiling smiley. Now you can get an impression if Sweden looks a little bit like Finland... (hope you don´t mind it, if I upload it on your thread).

I´m planing to go to Finland next summer and I´m really looking forward to it! Hope my plan will work out...

09/12/10 12:49 PM

I hope so too smiling smiley
Meh, I don't really mind going offtopic grinning smiley

And it does look very similar to Finland yeah... Well I guess most of our neighbor countries have pretty similar nature, lots of woods and lakes, just nordic country-like hahaha grinning smiley

No problem at all posting that here : )

09/13/10 1:52 AM

My favorites were the winter sunset and the lilypads. I noticed an improvement from your first post to the most recent ones as well. You do a good job with details.

09/13/10 2:53 AM

Thanks very much! smiling smiley I noticed the improvement myself, too haha : D I hope I'll still improve loads

09/13/10 12:27 PM

More lakes than in Sweden? Sounds good to me smiling smiley! Is there any special area you can suggest me to visit? I like places were I just can walk for days without meeting any people... I bet there are many places like this in Finland, but are there any places I must have to go?

Well, places like you described... Hmm, definitely Lapland if you wanna see some beautiful nature. Lapland works really any time of the year, though I've only been there in the summer and spring. Lots of people have told me that it's really beautiful in the winter as well.
And I would recommend Helsinki thumbs up awesome place, though it's a city, as you propably know haha so there isn't much peace there. Aaand hmm... I don't really know! I'm so used to Finland : D I love Tampere, nice people there and the city is also nice. Plus there's this very nice nature park called Pyynikki.
If you like beaches, and come here in the summer, Pori has a very fine beach (can't remember the name lol, but I'm sure you'd hear or see it somewhere). Another place for a beautiful beach is Kalajoki.

Hmm hmm... Hard to come up with places hahah I'll add more later if I come up with something smiling smiley

Thanks for those tips you gave to me smiling smiley! I´m thinking about a hitch hike through Finland, I hope to reach Lapland... I saw some nice pics and it seems to be a magic place! I think I will start at Helsinki, the hometown of the relative I already told you about. I´ll use google earth to have a closer look to the places you mentioned...
