Okay, I've never posted in this thread before, so I'll give it a go.

"0000 0000"

Solid ambient track. I like the minimal atmosphere, and the beats that build throughout. I would almost go crazier with the beats, have it descend into chaos, and then wind back down into ambiance.

"Among the Bruised"

Like the intro. Reminds me of Moby's "Inside". I guess more layers might work with this, but at the same time I think 2:08 is a little much. More subtle layers, perhaps? The beats seem a little too heavy on this one.

"Distant"

Has a little more melody than the others which I like. The beats seem seem a little much at the start, but I think you could use more further into the track. I like the instrumentation that starts to come in at 1:55 - I would build on this more. Overall probably a little longer than necessary.

"July"

Melody decent. Drums at the start seem too heavy. The first couple minutes seem relaxed and frantic at the same time...but I'm not sure that it works. The second couple minutes are solid - I would announce it more and make it louder. The last couple of minutes seem a little extraneous...

"Severed"

Like some of the backing atmospherics. The rhythm of the drums could be cleaned up a little, I think. Probably just the right length.


Yeah, in conclusion pretty solid ambient music overall, and well produced. You're working in a difficult genre, obviously - not everybody is into ambient straight up. It would work great as film soundtrack though, so I would try to team up with people who are maybe trying to start off in that the way you are with your music.

Aurally cold, mechanical, harsh and bleak, Dislocate Taint consists of a loose concept vaguely revolving around sexual abuse and the psychological journey of the victim - from the very act itself to its aftermath. Bear witness to the characters' rollercoaster of emotions focusing on desolation, desperation, dejection, detachment, and ultimately, suicide.

This particular Serene Ailment release was recorded on impulse entirely with GoldWave v5.54 over a 3-day period in an isolated place. As such, this EP was created chronologically where nothing was planned prior. Each 'sketch' can be commonly identified as:

III: Regression (1:56)
IV: Rage (1:48)
V: Depression (2:50)

I am new here as well so i figured, what the hell...I play in a live band for an industrial/alternative artist. We have all been huge NIN fans for the long haul. We all love the energy and creativeness Trent puts into his music and his live shows. The music by A.D. is truly amazing. Christian does it all himself, even the mixing and mastering. I do live programming, keyboards/synths, and backing vocals but what you hear on the tracks up here are him and him alone. The band, A.D., is short for Akamai Drone. Christian, the mastermind behind A.D., has been doing music since he was very young, starting out playing in house bands in bars at age 14 and then was working with another band playing lead guitar until he decided to do his own thing at the same time. Over time, he went left that band to be more dedicated to completing his own project. A.D. has a phenomenal live show, filled with energy and ambiance at times too. Give a listen to these tracks and let me know what you think. We will have some live audio coming soon. Well hope you all like it as much as I enjoy playing it!

IMO, don't use MySpace anymore. It's a dead scene, nobody uses it. Get a Bandcamp. Bandcamp rules. I've also heard Facebook has a music app now but I've not bothered to use it.
