Hey Gambit, what if you aren't wearing any clothes???

Rogue! So glad that you have turned the corner and are feeling well again! smiling smiley

04/13/12 9:17 AM

Thank you, Colin. I appreciate that. smiling smiley

Gambit is not ignoring posts. His laptop is a goner and he is taking his time trying to decide exactly what he wants and needs in a new one before he buys. He will be around again fairly soon.

04/13/12 3:54 PM

I skimmed through a bad review of the Battleship movie in a newspaper someone left on the tube today [which people do all the time in London, because there are many free papers] and thought of the two of you. It stars Taylor Kitsch, who played Gambit in Origins Wolverine, and he is described as a rogue officer. I'm pretty sure it was unintentional, but that one previous role of his made me think of our resident superhero couple!

04/17/12 12:35 PM

Aww.. Thanks. smiling smiley

And I heartily approve of Taylor as Gambit. Although Gambit would like someone beefier and more badass in the role. grinning smiley

04/18/12 7:19 PM

I think they could have done better with Gambit. I was expecting leaner and suaver(<?). Taylor was definitely missing that V'ed physique.

So how goes it superpeeps?

04/18/12 7:27 PM

Respitory Infections, Broken Laptops, Dogs Humping Cats .. this thread is a mess!!

Yes, glad you are feeling better Rogue. Tell Gambit to make up his mind already!!

*grumbling*

So while I was stuck in my bed for a month, I took up playing this game called Draw Something. The premise of the game is you pick a word to draw, do so and send it to another player. They in turn not only get the drawing but the exact number of spaces the word contains and a scramble of letters in which the letters to the word reside. So, if you can't get it by the drawing, you can narrow down the options by figuring out the words in the letter scramble (one is sure to be the correct one).
Now while most of the people I play with are strictly stick figures and one or two even draw the actual words in the picture (drawing for dummies it seems). Rogue (that'd be me) is convinced she (I) is (am) a draw it on the little screen with a finger artist! Yes, Picasso has nothing on me when it comes to artwork. *cough*

Here is a fine example of some of today's Rogue masterpieces:

These two the recipient(s) could not guess. Huh?

This one was pretty easily guessed:

This one they guessed and sent back a comment:

What's that? What was the comment? Oh..
"Haha Parrot on crack!"

*cries*

Nobody understands the true artist! tongue sticking out smiley

Yeah.. So anyway.. If you have this game and like to draw something besides the "stylish" stick figure..

Spinach!

Beach!

yes?

04/18/12 8:00 PM

Yay! You got it!

*beams*

Too bad you don't play. sad smiley

04/18/12 8:09 PM

sad smiley

But I still appreciate your fantastical artistry! smiling smiley

04/26/12 11:07 AM

Nothing new to report really. Life is good. smiling smiley
That is all.

Gambit? Wolvie? Have you anything to add?
Now where have they wandered off..

*follows the smell of bacon*

04/26/12 11:16 AM

mmmm .. bacon.

04/27/12 10:26 AM

Better watch that bacon peace. Or you'll end up like me.grinning smiley

*wiggles ghetto booty*

And then you have to deal with "The Evil Machine" every morning. (ie: my nasty NordicTrack eliptical that gets tired of my leisurely equivalent of a fast walk, slow jog after 15 minutes and decides it's time I actually felt the burn and suddenly starts inclining an inch a minute for the next 10).

*sweats worse than a sinner in church*

Actually (huge TOOL fan that I am) one would think that's how I power through the uphill mode part.
(hahaha random Rogue thought) "In my day we NordicTracked uphill both ways fighting off fat and calories with an ipod." (end strange Rogue randomness)grinning smiley
I have found after much trial and error that This (due to the meaning it has for me) followed by This, motivates me enough to get it done. An exact 10 minutes together.

Hey, do you smell that?

*lifts arm and sniffs*

*runs off to take a shower*

*Damnit! I can't spell this morning.

That was the most entertaining post of the week (or longer). Could not stop grinning. grinning smiley

EDIT- Woot! That's a 700 post! (my own random thought)

*wipes tears*

Somethings going to get broken!!!

grinning smiley

04/29/12 10:24 AM

Hello. Time to clean that mirror. grinning smiley
And you see those squishy little love handles, Colin? Gambit might think they're cute but I don't.

*climbs back on evil machine*

Must.. Loose.. love handles..

04/29/12 11:06 AM

04/29/12 11:23 AM

04/29/12 1:41 PM

Ermmmm..

*returns to find armpit sniffing and pleas for help*

*flips through the Mutant handbook*

Sorry, Colin. Armpit sniffing is perfectly legal in all 50 states. tongue sticking out smiley

*takes a quick check of my own*

What the..? I need to start buying some Secret Clinical or something.

*holds arm up*

What do you think? Is it as bad as all that?

grinning smiley

04/29/12 5:18 PM

Bored Mutant. Mutant is bored.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8016/7126109119_0ee763a78a_m.jpg

Talk to myself? That's okay right? It's when you answer yourself there's a problem. Or so I hear anyway (most likely from myself).
No, seriously, I seldom talk to myself. That sharp clawed ball of hair is usually around somewhere. Either voluntarily or (as is my habit) I drag him along. grinning smiley
Ompfh that reminds me.. I've got reading I can and need to do.

So much for bored. smiling smiley

04/30/12 8:52 AM

Really Nice Tool shirt up there .. it goes with Lateralus, it did during the last show .. yep.

I'm pretty much a rock shirt kind of guy, always have been. I wear them all the time ..

And I'm pretty sure BT89 doesn't wear shirts at all. LOL.

05/01/12 2:22 PM

Hey there, Peace! smiling smiley

Yes, love my Tool shirts. That particular one is the Triax Spiral. I've a shortage of band shirts these days actually. Worn many of them to barely held together holes over the last year. I just have my three Tool short sleeves, 1Tool long sleeve, a Rage Against The Machine and an Ozzy. I need to get shopping for some more. grinning smiley

Lateralus is always a good philosophy to incorporate into ones life.

05/08/12 12:14 PM

Meh. Not much going on until the second half of this month. Just hanging out doing some house straightening and generally amusing myself. smiling smiley
It is raining. Has been since yesterday. My ancient beastie (no not Wolverine. tongue sticking out smiley ) doesn't like going out in the wet weather. She's already got very limited bladder control at her age as it is. (Oh hush, you two! I know you got amusement out of last nights events, but if you repeat that story.. This will just be the "Rogue" thread! Hmmm.. Gives a whole new meaning to the name X-Men. grinning smiley ).
Oh geeze, what did I say? Look at the rug!

*drags out carpet cleaner*

She's too old to get mad at.

*sigh*

A mutant's work is never done.

05/08/12 12:39 PM

My cube needs straightening up .. sheesh .. paper everywhere.

And .. I hope .. you are talking about a pet. LOL.

I love the words to Lateralus .. like poetry man.

I'm rambling!

05/08/12 1:11 PM

Hahaha Yes, a 14 year old Rottweiler. Once so laboriously trained to instantly obey commands. (You can't have a puppy that will grow to that size and strength and not go to training classes. It'd be irresponsible). And now.. She doesn't listen to barely anything. The Vet assures me if it is one thing that is still unaffected by her age, it is her hearing. So, she has become stubborn in her old age. And I admit, I don't push her. If it is really important and I raise my voice and make it stern she'll comply. Good enough, I say. She's been a loving and faithful companion and protector. If she wants to develop these paculiarities and quirks in her final year(s).. Well, she's earned it.
The carpet cleaning gets a little old. But, it is what it is.
Now, Peace we musn't tell her any of this. Even though she is slow as molasses now, in her mind she is still a sprightly puppy. She tries to remind me of this every few days when she brings me her big, fuzzy ball and waits for me to throw it. She springs after it the short distance maybe for three tosses. Then she lays down with it tucked under her chin panting away.

*smile*

P.S. Feel free to ramble in here anytime you wish. You see me go on and on. smiling smiley

05/08/12 6:39 PM

I told her.

She's not mad.

She says she does what she wants and convinces you that it's because she's old.

She's peeing on the carpet as I type this.

She says "you're welcome".

05/09/12 11:56 AM

So .. is Gambit chained to the wall down in the dungeon? .. or .. Is he still deciding on a PC??

Jus wonderin' ..

05/09/12 12:33 PM

You'd better hope not Kenny. When last I saw him he was munching on a pile of bacon. There is nothing more appetizing to Wolverine than slightly crisped pig. He goes stumbling through the house half asleep, following his nose, looking for a late night snack and all hell could break loose in that cellar! grinning smiley

*ponders*

Perhaps I should give Gambit a break from our little S&M games and leave him the key, just in case..

*goes to do that*

05/09/12 12:54 PM

On second thought, he appears to be deep in thought or something..

*douses him in perfume*

That should prevent any disaster.

*shuts the light off*

Be back later, Honey! smiling smiley
