Hello Joan!!!

03/10/11 4:38 AM

curiositykillz, thank you!!! smiling smiley

Lita, hello to you too!!!

The way I look at it, I just think there's too much negativity already in the world, so I like to try to spread a little bit of positivity around. We're all good and worthy human beings and we should appreciate and consider and respect one another.

03/12/11 2:10 PM

^^yes, totally true!

03/12/11 8:14 PM

It's OK, Prowler. smiling smiley I haven't been writing anything in your thread lately either, but I still check it out just about every time I log on here. I don't always have time to go to all my favourite threads. smiling smiley

03/13/11 10:59 AM

That's okay, I do the same thing sometimes. But at least your thread has been resurrected so we can all continue appreciating you smiling smiley

Eewww green beer.... I'd rather a Guinness thanks. smiling smiley Happy St Patrick's Day to you too, Rhett!!! *hug*

Did you know that if nursing mothers drink a little bit of Guinness each day it helps their milk supply? At least, that's what I've heard. I used to do that when I was feeding my son, I don't know if it gave me more milk, but he didn't seem to mind... smiling smiley It was only a single glass, didn't want to get the little fellow drunk...

Hi Mrs. Joans. smiling smiley
How's summer down under?

03/28/11 6:24 AM

Hi Xanthe! It's actually autumn here and getting quite cold. I'm almost back in "uniform": black jeans, long-sleeve t-shirt and short-sleeve t-shirt over the top (today it's "head down" t-shirt), black studded belt (REAL studded belt that I bought back in the 80s, just had it lengthened a bit, have gained a bit of weight since then lol, it's the kind of belt you can get into trouble for...), black shoes and socks. I've worn the combat boots a couple of times but not today, was a bit too warm earlier.

How's everything where you are?

03/28/11 10:07 AM

It's the end of March and it actually snowed here yesterday... What the hell?!

03/28/11 9:57 PM

Still a bit chilly in NE.

03/29/11 6:39 AM

Snow in March... I can beat that. A couple of years ago there was snow in December in Victoria I think (that's Victoria, Australia), and that is SUMMER!!!

Rhett, maybe you need a hug to keep warm *hug* smiling smiley

03/29/11 9:51 AM

I can match your snow in December! Years ago during December (which is winter for us), Pops and I went out to buy a Christmas tree. Now, the previous year around that exact same time, I was wearing something ridiculous like four layers of sweaters and a ski coat because it was so cold. This particular year, however, Pops and I went to get the Christmas tree wearing shorts and Hawaiian shirts, then came home covered in sweat and drank iced lemonade in the driveway.

The one time I remember it snowing in the summertime, it was 1994 and I was on vacation in Wyoming at Yellowstone Park. I think it was early July and I put jean shorts on that morning because it was warm in Jackson Hole. Then by the afternoon it was freezing and yeah snowing. Odd day. grinning smiley

One day many years ago, Ma and I were driving down to Florida to visit her parents. Once we crossed the border into Florida, we experienced almost every single type of weather you can think of all along the same stretch of highway. We had rain, hail, snow, wind, blinding sunlight, a mild hurricane, total darkness in the middle of the afternoon, there was a fire on the side of the road at one point... Pretty much everything except a flood, tornado and an earthquake. It was quite a bizarre drive

Fun story... As I was typing that, I misspelled the word "visit" as "fisit". My spell check pointed it out to me, and when I clicked on the word, the first correction it offered me was the word "fist"... We were most definitely not going to Florida to fist her parents eye popping smiley

^^I don't think they would have appreciated being fisted....

Myohmy but the weather can be weird sometimes.

I think I have to go to bed soon, I'm really sleepy....zzzzzzzzzzzz
