It's autumn here too! goodbye tiny lovely shirts... hello ugly sweaters sad smiley
I hate cold, you know...

03/30/11 8:21 PM

Tomorrow is the first day of April- supposedly the beginning of Spring... But it's still freaking cold here. Then again, I hate heat, so I'm enjoying the cold while it lasts grinning smiley

03/31/11 6:55 AM

i wish it would stop snowing here!

hi joan <3

04/01/11 6:41 AM

Hi heatherette!! smiling smiley Hi everybody else!!

I keep forgetting, Lita and I are in the same hemisphere. We're getting cooler weather now, while you "northerners" are moving towards summer, or you're supposed to be. Heatherette, you're in Rochester NY, that's getting up towards the Canadian border (sort of), isn't it? I guess that's why you're still getting snow. I hope it stops soon and you can get some spring weather.

Now, it's getting late here, so I'm logging off. Sweet dreams everyone, or good morning or good afternoon or whatever time of day it is where you are. smiling smiley

04/01/11 8:34 AM

Hi Joan smiling smiley Are you looking forward to winter?

04/01/11 8:58 PM

Hey, I just thought I would drop in here and show some appreciation for Joan. Very cool lady, indeed.

04/02/11 6:51 AM

^^Thank you, jhendrie!!! *hug* This is my thread (thanks to Mr RhettButler) so I'm allowed to be here!! smiling smiley

Hi Prowler. Winter is OK. In some ways it's better than summer because in summer it's very hard to stay cool, but in winter you can dress up a bit and stay warm. smiling smiley It's actually starting to get quite cool and pleasant here, i.e., real autumn weather. How's the weather where you are?

04/11/11 12:50 PM

Hi beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope all is well for you

Our weather hasn't decided what it actually wants to be yet. One day it'll be in the high 80s, and the next day it'll be back down to the 50s or 60s. It's been yo-yoing like that for about two weeks now, and it's really starting to irritate me.

Joan:
So autumn and spring are your favorite seasons I guess.
I know summer can be is a pain in the ass sometimes, if you're the enough time on the streets but at home you can have a great time, and you can swim in a pool and take fruit sundae and freezing beer (if you want) and take 10 baths if it's necesary and make funny noises in front of an old fan!
I love summer. I only have sweet times/memories in summer time!
Yeah, it sounds nostalgic... sigh...eye rolling smiley

Lita, there's nothing wrong with being nostalgic smiling smiley

The only good thing I have going for me this summer is the face that some of my long-sleeve button-up shirts "died" on me during the year, so I cut the sleeves off of them. So now I have some sleeveless shirts to wear to outdoor gigs this summer. Some of you may be thinking well, why don't you just wear a tee-shirt?... Well, I'm weird and I never go out wearing just a tee-shirt. I'm not comfortable with myself unless I'm wearing a button-up, and I really don't like not having sleeves on. So even though I'm going to be wearing sleeveless shirts to gigs, I'm more than likely going to be wearing a tee-shirt underneath it unless it's absolutely necessary that I have on as little clothing as possible

Okay, stupid clothing rant over smiling smiley

You say the nicest things, bless you!!! smiling smiley Everything is good with me but it's starting to get really cold here. I think we may be going to get a long cold winter. And with the price of electricity predicted to go up (it's already about double what I used to pay just a couple of years ago) I really don't want to use the heater very much. But I think I'm going to have to give in and say "to hell with the expense" and get the heater out and start using it. I'll figure out how to pay all my bills later on...

Well, today I was at the Craft Cottage (that's the shop run by me and my fellow members of Campbelltown Craft Society). I submitted my latest creation, a baby blanket, to be signed in and displayed for sale. Three minutes before we closed a woman came rushing in wanting to buy something for a newborn baby, saw my blanket and bought it. Quickest sale I've ever had. smiling smiley Now I have to make another one to replace that one, and I have to finish the blue one I'm working on, and make a red scarf to replace the one that was sold a few weeks ago, and a dark red pashmina to replace one that was sold some time ago. What am I doing here???? I SHOULD BE WORKING!!! lol

So, what's happening with all my friends?

Quoted for gratuitous amounts of truth

04/14/11 5:54 AM

Thank you so much, fleighing and Prowler!!!! *hugs*

I'm actually not wearing a NIN shirt today, I'm wearing my one and only Iron Maiden t-shirt. But there will be a NIN shirt tomorrow.

BTW Prowler, I hope you feel better soon. Like I said in your thread, I get headaches and sometimes the next day I'm really tired. I guess they just drain a person of energy.

So, the weekend is almost here. What will everybody be doing? I'm thinking about going to see Black Label (a local band, not to be confused with Black Label Society) on Saturday night. They play mostly original stuff, badass biker music... smiling smiley

04/14/11 11:32 AM

Have fun at the not Black Label Society show smiling smiley I have a gig of my own on Saturday at a "biker" place. It's actually the place where that guy tried to kill me with the triple fire alarm hot sauce. I already warned my band about it smiling smiley

04/15/11 7:24 AM

Stay away from the hot sauce, Prowler!! smiling smiley

Yep, I will have fun at the gig tomorrow night. Looking forward to it. It's kind of a "dress up" place, i.e., dress regulations, so I'm going to be a bit conservative tomorrow. Black jeans (as always), plain black leather belt (no studs), dark red long sleeved wool jumper (it's autumn here), and black lace-up boots (not combat boots). Still taking my camera though, have the batteries recharging as we speak.

Hi Rhett! smiling smiley There should be a photo of it in one of the tattoo threads here. Either in the nin discussion forum or the party room forum.
