This is a picture of my daughter Margaret all dressed up and ready to go to a club in the city. It was a Friday 13th party. Isn't the coat fabulous??? And the hat, boots and everything. She usually wears black jeans or trousers, but here she's wearing a dress.

Hi Joan!

Did your daughter have fun? She looks perfectly dressed for a Friday the 13th party! She's a very pretty young lady.

How's Jesse doing?

04/20/12 6:41 AM

Hi Colin. smiling smiley Yes, I think Margaret had fun, she usually texts me and tells me what song the dj is playing, that is, if it's NIN. smiling smiley And yes, she is very pretty.

Jesse has been a very good boy today. I took him out for a walk and he didn't jump around like he usually does. I think he's starting to trust me. I haven't taken any photos of him lately, I should do that because he's getting fat!!!! He's almost 5 months old.

So, how are all my friends? What's everybody got planned for the weekend?

Great picture!

This weekend--not much. Going to try to volunteer for the Warren campaign (she is running for the senate seat in MA).

04/22/12 6:49 AM

Thank you! smiling smiley The picture did turn out pretty well, didn't it?

Good luck with volunteering, Rhett. smiling smiley

Well, my small business is picking up a little bit. Made up some business cards the other day, finally figured out how to do it!! smiling smiley Sold a couple of custom baby blankets a couple of weeks ago, that was 2.5 months worth of work, the lady was very happy with them. Finished a standard baby blanket for a friend of one of my son's friends, and have another buyer for another standard baby blanket. It keeps me out of mischief and it's something I love doing. The address is on my profile page here.

I hope everybody is having a great weekend. smiling smiley

heya. just randomly popping in to say that your boy jesse is absolutely beautiful. smiling smiley

04/24/12 6:38 AM

Thank you, sharona! smiling smiley He is a gorgeous boy. You should see him now, he's quite a lot bigger and he trusts me a lot more now. It's taken a while, but we're getting there. I will have to try to get some more photos of him, I keep forgetting to do that....

04/25/12 9:32 PM

Awesome news! Congrats on your orders. smiling smiley
Are you staying super busy keeping your inventory together and stocked?

04/26/12 5:55 AM

Yes, I am trying my very best to do that. smiling smiley So far, so good. Took another baby blanket to its new owner today, I think she was pretty pleased with it. It was a present for her three month old niece. And thank you so much for your kind words, Colin. smiling smiley

Here's a picture of my little Jesse. I took it yesterday. He's five months old now and settling in pretty well.

Haha.. Even that photo can't contain Jesse's happiness.. I can see his tail wagging!

He is such a studly young man. grinning smiley

05/13/12 4:48 AM

Looks like a great, healthy dog. Hope he likes the summer.

05/14/12 6:44 AM

Thanks, Colin and Rhett. smiling smiley We're heading towards winter and little Jesse is starting to feel the cold. I bought him a new bed today but he started to eat it so I had to take it off him. I might give it back to him before I go to bed in a few minutes and hope that it isn't eaten by morning. smiling smiley I worry about him when I see him shivering in the morning. It was 3o celsius at 7 o'clock this morning, getting a bit chilly.

My business has died down a bit sad smiley I haven't had any sales for a couple of weeks. I have been giving out my business cards and I'm hoping it will pick up again.

I'm going to be a bit cheeky and post the website address here.

Hi all!!! It's getting bloody cold here, we're heading towards winter. I think it's going to be a particularly cold one this year.

Not much has been happening. Looking after Jesse is like having a toddler around. I bought him a new bed the other day because he looked so cold and was shivering that morning. He promptly chewed it up so I had to take it off him. He'll be all right, he has mats to sleep on.

Been really busy working on things for my website. Sales have slackened off though, but I'm hoping they pick up again. I've given out a few of my business cards but I really need to advertise more. Am tempted to put something on the rear window of my car but my fuckwit neighbours will see it and probably give me a hard time over it because they're fuckwits.

Having a quiet weekend again. But that's OK, I like my quiet Sundays, just relaxing and doing what I want to do, not what I have to do.

How are all you good people? What do you have planned for the weekend?

05/30/12 3:44 PM

What?!
Who is this old man that Joan is feeling? grinning smiley

06/02/12 6:58 AM

I didn't say "old man".... grinning smiley I said "Only as old as the man you feel"...

Well, today is my son's 20th birthday. He didn't want a party, he didn't want to be taken out to dinner, he didn't even want a cake. Which is kind of sad, but that's what he wanted. I gave him some money to buy whatever he wants, and his sister gave him a "Back To The Future II" De Lorean which he really liked. Well, for her birthday back in January he bought her a Tom Baker Sonic Screwdriver. smiling smiley You press a button on it and it makes noises. Yep, we're all a bit crazy here...

Jesse is 6 months old now, and next Tuesday he's booked in to have his "little operation". (Now now, boys, don't squirm and cross your legs... grinning smiley ) I've just got to remember to feed him no later than 6 o'clock the night before, and no breakfast for him that morning. He won't like that, and he probably won't like mummy very much later that day either... I made him a new bed. I buy him beds and straight away he rips them apart. So I bought a second-hand picnic rug, a good strong cotton one, and some hobby fill from the craft shop, folded the rug in half, sewed up the sides, filled it and sewed it shut. I haven't given it to him yet, but I'll probably give it to him on Tuesday and hope that he doesn't destroy it in five minutes.

What's been happening with all you wonderful people? I hope summer is good for you. It's winter now, getting cold and it's been raining most of the day. I have a feeling it's going to be a wet winter, but that's ok, because when that happens the summer that follows is usually cooler and more tolerable.

06/04/12 4:17 PM

Don't lie. I caught you feeling-up on an old man, Joan...

Hey, that's how us guys can be about bday's. I did the same thing this year.
I hope that your son's 20th year is an excellent one!

*crosses legs and squirms about*

Colin!! Come back!!!

This is my little Jesse yesterday afternoon. We picked him up from the vet about 4.45pm and he was still a bit wobbly on his legs, poor little fellow. He was really quiet when we got him home, so I put his bed in the laundry with a blanket that I bought especially for him and he slept most of the afternoon. The vet said he might not be very hungry, but I gave him a small meal which disappeared in about 20 seconds flat. Poor little fellow was ravenous because he hadn't eaten since the night before. I gave him some dinner a little later on and that disappeared pretty quickly as well.

The bed he has is one that I made. He has a tendency to rip apart the beds I buy because they're made from foam and covered in light cotton material. So I looked around the second-hand shops and found a picnic rug, heavy cotton, and bought some hobby fill from the craft shop. I folded the rug in half, sewed up the sides, filled it with hobby fill and sewed up the top. It's a really soft, squishy mattress for him, very warm. So far he hasn't torn it apart. The blanket was bought second-hand as well, it's a "people" blanket that had been cut in half to make it "doggy size", and it's wool, so it's nice and soft and warm as well.

BTW when I got Jesse the vet said he was under weight, he weighed 10.5kg and was 3 months old. Now, 3 months later, he weighs 22kg and I'm told he might grow to be about 30kg fully grown. A fairly big boy. smiling smiley

So, what has been happening with all you wonderful people?

06/06/12 4:01 PM

CUTE PUPPEH!

06/08/12 6:14 AM

Yes he is! smiling smiley And he's starting to settle down a bit more which is good. I think he's really starting to trust me.

It's bloody cold here!!! Anyone want to give me a day of warm weather for a day of cold weather please?? smiling smiley

06/09/12 5:52 AM

Nooo, I don´t want to give away that little bit of sun that we had the last few days >_<
...german summers suck most of the time..

That´s a really cute dog, Joan smiling smiley

06/10/12 6:50 AM

serenityangel, yes he is a cute dog. He's recovering well from his operation and is as lively and cheeky as ever. smiling smiley

I'm sorry your German summer is so cold. I don't think I'd like to live in a place where summer is cold. But I don't like our really hot summers here.

It's winter here, and it's been raining on and off today. My little Jesse missed out on his walk this morning, partly because I slept in till nearly 9am and partly because I was so so busy and didn't have time. But I'll make up for it tomorrow, if it's not raining of course.

Has everybody had a good weekend? What did you all do? smiling smiley

06/20/12 7:58 PM

06/22/12 6:38 AM
