Annie, I'm very glad you're feeling better. Enjoy your winter break. It's school holidays here as well, but there are no kids around. They must all be inside playing computer games or something.

First of all, an introduction. I have always been interested in people's intentions. I mean, the intentions which underly their actions. I don't believe that people do things just because or due to a spur of the moment thingy. I'd love to read people's minds; that would make my life a lot easier...
The "bad apples" situation awaken in me feelings that I thought I'd overcome (It seems two years is not enough to get over certain stuff that happened to me) Don't get me wrong, nothing bad or creepy happened (yet). I guess that what upset me the most was to feel all that crap again (namely, feeling that everyone is in this world with the sole purpose of hurting me)
I'm way too sensitive, I overthink and I get hurt easily. Don't know if all that is a bad personality trait I carry in my genes or life made me this way.

Ok, let's move on with another subject: Death. I had a dream about a cemetery. I wanted to get my grandad and my dad in graves next two each other but then I said: "What about mum and grandma?" So,somewhat I got four graves. Two for dad and grandad and two empty ones waiting for mum and grandma. They looked good together but I thought that something was missing. So I placed a sort of bridge above the four graves and started listening this phrase from a song: "Usa el amor como un puente" Use love as a bridge. Needless to say, That song's been stuck in myhead all morning [www.youtube.com] Wanna know something funny? The singer had a stroke two years ago and he's still in a comma. My dad had a stroke four years before he died... I just hope there are no shrinks reading my posts tongue sticking out smiley
The thing is plain and simple: I'm not afraid of death.
I was at the cemetery last week taking pics (I recently found out I'm into taphophilia). Since I don't have internet at home just yet, I was playing with some of the pics I took. These are the results:

The Irish graves. A mother and a daughter that died in the 1880´s, I think.

A friend of mine asked me if I had climbed the stairs. I said no, did I miss something cool? You missed two or three coffins from the 18th century :/

I think these pics turned out better than the original ones I posted here and in FB.

Ok, enough about me. I'm getting increasingly bored with myself and my thoughts.
How's everybody doing?

07/07/12 3:30 PM

You're very welcome. smiling smiley

Nice photos. I sometimes like to wander around old cemeteries, but then I get very sad and have to leave.

07/08/12 2:30 PM

^^^^ I used to get sad in cemeteries but not anymore. I guess my camera is a sort of shield against sadness... weird, right?

I took more pics today

Always like that window. It's a sort of triangle. My dad once said that it was a good place to for a desk.

I never been to Recoleta cemetery :3

we have a graveyard like close to where i live too, people are afraid of it. i think its more peaceful then most other places.

07/10/12 8:19 AM

^^^^^Agredd! I still don't understand why most people are afraid of cemeteries and dead people. Don't know about you, but (in my case) the living are the ones who scare the hell out of me...

I have a photo album here: [forum.nin.com]
Buy?! I could use some bucks grinning smiley but seriously, you should check the work of others at the artwork and multimedia forum. You might want to put your money there (lots of great work there!) instead of caring about the work of an amateur who takes pics mainly with her cellphone.
Thanks, anyway.

On an unrelated topic, I'm experiencing (as I type) one of those glorious moments where I get an ego boost.
Thank you to those who make this happen (you know who you are) smiling smiley

using a disposable camera, lol. Talent is talent, amateur or not,
Ana.

07/11/12 7:56 PM

Ok... if you say so...

Then what is this? Is this talent, as well?

http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/m634/cute_annie3/Foto-0148.jpg

My Nyan Cat made in cross stitch by my very own hands.

This is what people who don't have sex do, you see?

07/11/12 10:13 PM

I like this too, my late aunt loved stitching too.
She once made a spiderman stitching and she
stitched me a very big pillow. You are talented,
so no more silly arguments. Ok? I'm glad we
had this chat, I feel better, don't you?

07/11/12 10:54 PM

Annie, I like your pictures. I think you would love the old cemeteries in and around New Orleans. smiling smiley

As for the rest.. Talent or no talent isn't really the issue. You are obviously a creative person. Whether it is taking pictures with a phone or stitching a design.. Let these pursuits help you channel any negative forces in and around you into something positive. An escape, so to speak, a place where you are happy. Try not to look at it as "Am I any good at it?" This is unimportant. Try to enjoy the feeling of your own creative visions you are bringing to life. No two people "see" things exactly the same way. This always makes your perspective unique.

In other news.. The new photo in the picture thread is cute. smiling smiley
