Peter is fucking amazing.

I own every album that man put out solo, and every Bauhaus album as well.

I appreciate A LOT. And I would kill to see him perform Reptile along with Trent.

Yes

He puts so much emotion into that song... One of the few times that NIN covers actually work.

yeah, when bauhaus and peaches opened for NIN i feel like the ticket should have cost more.that was awesomeness overload.peter passed out roses and rained the petals everywhere, during one of the instrumental sections he just sat down for the longest.his outfit was also great.when he stepped out he posed and let the crowd soak up his presence.i was like, this is the coolest guy i've ever seen.

I loved Peter/Bauhaus/Dali's Car/Tones On Tail/Love & Rockets/Jazz Butcher etc. before NIN existed, so to see Bauhaus with NIN back in 2006 (?) was like a dream come true.

Random, unimportant facts about me --- that will give some impression of the amount of deep appreciation I have Peter:

~ met him three times, he's a very nice, humble and funny guy
~ had a subway-sized poster of him, framed, hanging in my living room for 11 years
~ we refer to him in our house as simply "The Murph"
~ have every Bauhaus CD, every Murph solo CD and the aforementioned bands' CDs
~ I have had the Bauhaus logo bumper sticker on every car I've owned since 1988
~ have seen him perform about 75 or so times
~ my college pals dubbed "She's In Parties" as my theme song...it is the ringtone on my phone
~ his voice often lulled my daughters to sleep when they were babies (mostly his solo stuff)

Xmas recommendation: his holiday song, a duet with Tom Waits called "Christmas Sucks," is tongue-in-cheeky wonderful. I play it every year...but not around the little ones, a'course.

Yay for this thread!

I am sad that I didn't see NIN in Atlanta just because I missed Peter....but, I've seen him solo and with Bauhaus more times than I can count...but still, seeing NIN and Peter together is great. I remember seeing a show on the 2006 tour during which Peter and Trent did Pere Ubu's "Final Solution". That was pretty awesome, as are some of the radio show 2006 covers they did..."Warm Leatherette", "Nightclubbing", "Warsaw"....good stuff.

I have heard, from a friend of mine in the midwest, that they are promoting the Columbia, MO show as NIN "with a special guest". Is Peter doing another few shows with NIN? If so, I think I'm going to buy a plane ticket to nowheresville, MO, as frightening as that sounds. If they even have an airport! lol.

I love PM cause he sounds like david bowie doing a dracula impression.
AND he FUCKING ROCKED IN AC

11/17/08 3:35 PM

Yes, they do have an airport...my family are from/live around there...I refuse to visit.

Actually...Columbia is a college town so it might not be that bad. But it is still too damn rural for my liking.
