Jerome's a good looking guy, but not as hot as Trent (in my opinion).

I dont have that album. kind of jealous even though it was my choice. Will it piss me off if I buy it and listen to it?
no nin album will piss you off! WTF?
Well thats not entirely true. Depends on the subject matter. If its based on his political views then it just might. Who knows, I just hate when he stands on his Bush bashing soap box. There I said it, I'm out of the closet. You dont have to like the man , but show some respect.. after all he was our president. I showed respect for Clinton and I guess now the new guy.. its early yet, his feet arent even wet. But I wont be disrespectful, thats what I dislike, ppl being disrespectful. I dont care if my friends have different points of view, thats encouraged, just be polite or say nothing at all. So should I get the cd? LOL

typos, yuck

Ok yeah.. I see your point. Still, I think you should buy the cd, put it in your computer, and pick only the songs you like. Delete the rest from your computer, and don't put what you don't like in your ipod...

Why in god's name are we cloning dogs?

Surely if you've got $180,000 you could just buy a really fucking cool car, or an iphone.

Are there not enough abandoned dogs out there needing a home, so now we've resorted to making new ones in test tubes? This wasn't even a scientific experiment, ffs.

On the plus side, frag, you might be able to clone Robin if you can get a bit of his hair, and a shitload of money. LOL. Some evil scientist could hook that up for you, I'm sure tongue sticking out smiley

hum... no. I could do it myself, without the help of a crazy scientist mind you. I know how, and my university has been cloning pigs for quite a while.

(Edit: Not that Robin is a pig!!! NOT what I wanted to say! *blushes*)

Still. By the time the Robin Clone is born and brought to adulthood, someone's gonna have to take care of him... change his diapers.. and.. that would just creep me out. I prefer the real one.. even though I can't have him...

Wait until these egotistical fucks start cloning human babies. They are close with this stem cell research and all.

I'm sorry China, but stem cell research isn't about cloning humans, but to save their lives. To produce marrow for people with a dangerously affected immune system, or organs or parts of organs in vitro (without cloning a person) to respond for the lack of organ donors. It's also to create skin for burnt victims. Plus, they don't take anything from babies, dead or alive, except is the mother approves. No money comes out of it for the parents. All you need to do is give the umbilical chord instead of throwing it away.

If you don't want us to talk about Bush's regime, please don't judge science without knowing, or doing some in depth research from multiple sources before you do. I don't want to be harsh, but most of the people that judge the stem cell research have no idea what it's all about.

Of course, if it comes to cloning your kid that died in a car crash... then you'd have to be seriously sick.. I'm against cloning babies. But stem cell research is crucial nowadays, and could make a difference between life or death for someone you love, like your daugher, or my father (true story here)

Well. Technically, technically, should this not solve the pro-life/human potential argument? If you "shouldn't" throw away embryos, then you "shouldn't" throw away the umbilical cord either, so it can be used to help another life already in progress work toward its fullest human potential eye rolling smiley

I know it's not that simple, and I'm a big advocate of personal choice, but... it's a theory.

Um, I am aware what its used for.. I worked the past 15 years in the health field and saw all kinds of debilitating, incurable illnesses that people suffered from for years and a lot died as a result of it. I'm not looking for a debate. I just simply meant its not long before someone crosses the line to clone humans. It doesnt necessarily have to be a US or Canadian Scientist.. eventually it could fall into the wrong hands. It's a possibility. Already animals are being cloned, sheep (Dolly) dogs, pigs and even the FDA wants to clone animals that serve as our food supply. So whats next? When does it stop? As far as Bush goes, debate on.. a difference of opinion is healthy, but it can be done tastefully without resorting to name calling or bashing (I didnt say that with pointing fingers at at you Frag or Hybrid, or Chris, it was meant in general).

Ok, then. In that case, you're right. See, we can agree. I'm sure it could fall in some crazy scientist's hands. I even think it's already being done somewhere. I saw this tv show once with parents that were explaining why they tried to clone their lost kids, that they saved some blood samples and all in their freezer for when this becomes possible... That is dangerous, and it scare me to no end. And there's money to be made by some people. So I'm sure it's being done. The bit that I didn't like is when you talked about the stem cell research. Not every scientists are crazy, and many know where the line is, and won't cross it. I don't think we should stop the research and the knowledge for fear of what could happen, since so much good can come out of it in the end. Still, laws should be made to prevent the line from being crossed, and those who do should be prosecuted..

Yes, we do agree most of the time. grinning smiley Unfortunetly there are always sick individuals out there with God complexes and all about self gain at whatever cost. I can picture cloned babies being sold on the black market or worse, some Hitler wannabe cloning his ideal race in hopes of world domination. Scary thoughts.

There are lots of things I can't do. I can't change my oil in my car. In fact I know nothing about mechanic. I can't fix anything in my house, I call my father all the time to fix my stuff, like the sink when it leaks, the bath tub that won't drain... to install a shelf on a wall.. Also, I can't sing, and I was never able to climb in a tree because I'm afraid of heights. terrified would be a better word. I went in the CN Tower, and stepped on the glass floor just to prove I could do it, and then I nearly puked. Here's what it looks like. The little dots: they're people:

I just like to try things. I'm never closed to any idea. If there's something to try, I'm there. Except using the back door when I'm with someone, if you get my meaning... I'll never try that.

01/29/09 5:04 PM

The more I think about it, the more I think the whole human race is headed for destruction. It only takes a few batshit crazy individials with access to good science to kill us all eye rolling smiley

01/29/09 5:06 PM

Holy fuck, frag... you can fly! grinning smiley

I'd love to do that. For some reason, I'd be scared shitless (I think it's my constant dream of dying in lifts) but I'd love to do it anyway!

Bungee jumping, though... no thanks.

But..I'm more scared of robots. Robots can do anything, depending on how they're built. Then they could be used as tools of world domination by some idiots that were just lucky enough to be in the secret, and that know how to manipulate them...
