I think the fact that the volcano is called Eyjafjallajokull makes it even stranger.
The other two Cali shows cannot be cancelled, especially since we have Jacquetta at the San Francisco one! Eyjafjallajokull needs to take some Pepto-Bismol to keep Satan's heartburn at bay. Random picture finds...

Found this article about the Coachella cancellations, nothing new, but I think it got a little lost in translation... (I was mildly amused, hence the sharing):
Gary Numan, reserved for a Sun set, wrote on his website that he strength be healthy to attain it to Coachella thanks to a New Sun flight: “if we are rattling lucky, we strength meet attain it to the festivity place (a threesome distance nonnegative intend from Los Angeles) in instance for our interval but without a azygos ordinal of practice with Robin Finck, the dweller supported bass contestant for the US shows, who has never played with us before.” The Times also lists Delphic as a discourse mark. Full proper translation: to get to Coachella you have a have a non-negatively intended threesome at a distance from Los Angeles, and then you have to have an ordinary practice session with this guy named Robin Finck, who was a contestant on some US show where he played bass. Then, and only then, will you make it to the festivity place... unless a volcano stops you. Uh, yeah, I guess. Who's with me? I know it's already started, but I still want to go to Coachella. This sounds like a good plan. (I'm trying to figure out how the translation got mixed up... I'm guessing Numan's post was translated into whatever language the journalist read, and then they tried to translate it back? It's just fucking weird, because it was in English in the first place. It's 4:30 a.m. and I just wrote maybe the worst song (?) in the history of all time called "Gary Numan is a Pterodactyl". It is the most terrible thing ever, I have Robin making barbeque hot dogs... sleep, now, yes.

^ In that third picture, I always want to refer to Robin as "Pam", because he looks like a plastic mannequin I found in the basement in high school and named Pam. I shaved her hair off.

wow, so this volcano thing has actually affected something worthwhile. I didn't really take much notice of it, since I'm not planning on going anywhere, but I feel sorry for anyone who's going to Coachella mainly for Numan and of course Robin =[
Apparently the ash clouds could rain down near where I live, dunno if it'll be Pompeii all over again 
On Gary's site says Robin's at home, so it would be an unusual and funny surprise if he was to play in Numan's slot alone! a sight to behold though! | |
