DMG posted:Your Robin board had no future...?! Says whom?! Your website is a HUGE plethora of information on the man himself, and I think that you should have kept it open. The only reason I started one myself was because I didn't think yours was still around.
Anyhow, while on the topic of "stealing" photos, I want to house as many robin photos as humanly possible on the site, but I'm not going to start right-clicking and saving them all, without your permissions, or you could send them my way via email, or link, etc etc. Also, am in the process of creating a flickr profile for the site, and have already created facebook and twitter pages for it. Feel free to follow, like, and share your thoughts.
How's everyone doing these days? Don't get on here enough anymore...
Hi DMG,
I'm doing fine and you?
I put the main site offline for a while, but I never 'removed' anything from it except the board. I still find interesting stuff once in a while, and by that I mean archives (old interviews, random comments about Robin that make my day, etc), that I shall add sometime.
As regards as the board, I recently reopened it, it was just in maintenance mode, so I'm not exactly restarting from fresh. There's a nearly one year gap between topics (especially in the off topic sections) and I don't know if it is any good, maybe I should delete all of those 'news from last year' topics. But the Robin section is intact. I've added lots of old stuff (articles, interviews). I'm trying to figure how to get interesting discussions on the board. To be honest, the main reason why I wasn't keen on keeping the forum is the fact that too many people are into picture hunting. A forum is not a gallery, pictures should be only a minor part of it. The boards at nin.com are massive, my Finck board is tiny- tiny, so I viewed picture hunting/posting as a real threat for my board. Also, I'm getting older, I once was a pic spammer and that's not my cup of tea anymore. I want my boards to be a cosy place where people can discuss, post suggestions, etc. I'm linking to your site in my Finck site history, hopefully there will be more Finck sites in the near future. I'm pretty happy to see all the new picture galleries that got started while I was on 'vacation'.
@Joan Cootes : The Robin& Bianca video is not on the site (yet), however I can send you a link to a blog where I'm hosting it.
