Hi Amanda girl. smiling smiley
I'm sorry to hear that. If you're hurting now I hope it's not too much. It seemed like a promising start to a new relationship for you. Never burn your bridges, in a few years you may get back in touch.
Love you sweetiesmiling smiley

I don't know that I really want to / can go into details, but for the record, we didn't officially "end" whatever we had, but, after talking together for HOURS, that was the conclusion I came to (that it's best if I just try to move on).

It's just super frustrating because we both want to be together, he just doesn't want to feel any kind of responsibility if we try it and it doesn't work. (Which is unfortunate, because I'm not the kind to play the blame game.)

I also realize that I put a lot more effort/care into things than he does, and I deserve someone who wants to be with me just as much as I want to be with them. (We all deserve that.)

Sigh.

Sorry socks....sad smiley

05/16/12 12:37 PM

That's true. You want to be with someone who wants to be with you and who will be your equal a give as much as you will. You Reached an impasse with this guy. Maybe you can still be good friends if it's not painful for you. I wish you the best in your love life. There are millions of guys out there, never limit yourself. And you're so young! You have tons of time and a lot of life to live. When you're married that's forever. Being single is temporary, so get to know yourself and be free as long as possible. smiling smiley

Hooray for Memorial Weekend, yay! I'm all excited to go up to the lake for a couple days. smiling smiley And I was up in northern Wisconsin earlier this week, which was lovely. My uncle and I sat in the boat and watched a bald eagle fishing...pretty darn cool. smiling smiley

Anyone have exciting plans for the weekend?

I haven't watched this yet, but I will! My computer's been a little screwy lately. sad smiley

And Keith-- I didn't do anything too exciting. smiling smiley Hung out with my sisters Friday night. We watched Percy Jackson, which was surprisingly good for a kids' movie, lol.

Then Sat morning I drove up to the lake to see all of my dad's family. Over the course of Sat/Sun, I got to see more fam than I'd seen in years!! Which was quite wonderful, since I really am close to my extended family. Got a bit drunk with my grandpa, uncle, uncle's gf, and cousin Saturday night. That was fun. smiling smiley

Monday back to my mom's mom's house (where I've been staying), and all my mom's fam came over. It was the one-year anniversary of my grandpa (who, as previously stated, I was extremely close to) dying, but no one said one word about it...kind of really awkward. sad smiley

Trying to get over everything with Navy guy. :-\ This is time #3 getting over him, fyi. Haven't really heard from him since I left over 2 weeks ago. (Aaaand this is why I don't sleep with guys right away, even ones I really like, ahem.) I've been all sorts of emotional about it.

No worries-- I am going down to my college town tomorrow night and plan on getting drunk and making bad decisions, lol. grinning smiley

Also dealing with it via job searches and grad school research. That's making me pretty excited. smiling smiley

Off to go swimming with my cousin now... smiling smiley

05/30/12 10:16 AM

if job searches are making you excited, then you're very ill.. and you need to see a doctor right away.

beyond that, it's nice to hear you had a fun weekend with fam. smiling smiley

05/30/12 10:20 AM

Ha! Well, the actual process of job-searching gives me no enjoyment at all. It's more the idea of making a big change (and for the better). smiling smiley

I liked Percy Jackson, too smiling smiley

I can fully understand your trying to get over Navy Boy. Remember, I've been trying to get over my ex for three years.

But in other news, I had a pretty awesome dream about you last night! Yep yep, I totally did grinning smiley
