Speaking of gutted, one day I dragged out the ladder to clean my gutters. I noticed a loose roof shingle, got out some tools, got up on the roof & fixed it. While I was up there I noticed there was a sag in the roof.
Hmm, couldn't be the age of the house, it was only built in 1987. Must be the crackheads that built it cutting corners so they can profit enough to buy more crack. The wood they used should have been bigger & stronger, so I tried to figure out how to fix it without going broke.
Decided to build a new frame on the inside to support the original frame of the house. Been using vacation time to get this done so I can put a new roof on in the spring. Not the easiest of methods, but at least I don't have to gut the place like LRF's friends.
^^Hey Bob--This other photo I found, kind of looks like your house--please don't tell me you're wearing the Santa suit while you're working up there. ...but if you are, make sure it's strong enough to hold all those reindeer!
That one can't be my house, the roof looks too good.
LOL (But see--now you have something to strive for!)
Yeah, I'm striving to get finished. I have a lot of work done, but still more to do.
By the way, if LRF100 seems grouchy or pissy in this thread, that's his normal self. He hasn't been the same since the Spiral days.
I'll take that under advisement--lol. I don't ever post in this thread, because I wasn't on the Spiral, but I thought the house picture would be funny--lol. Don't work too hard and remember to take a break for this!
Nice to meet you, and I'll keep an eye out for that moose! (I've seen him before in a couple of other similar photos, but still get a laugh out of that one! LOL)
Did you hear that the Ohio State University library burned to the ground? All five books in the library were completely destroyed and the football team is really upset by the fire since they hadn’t colored in two of the books yet.
