I know you love getting out of the house and networking and seeing your friends every Tuesday. Try not to lose heart and maybe it will work out. Do you think another band will take over if you guys quit? You could still go out to Open Mic if other musicians take over. Just a thought. Try to stay positive because you never know what these S. Carolina gigs could bring. You may be traveling a lot to other states or citites outside of Fredericksberg. The band sounds like it's in a transition period right now. Since you guys don't have any local gigs and you don't want to play bars and restaurants anymore. I hope things pick up soon. Stay excited about SoCar. You're gonna have a great time there. |

Hello everyone
Yes, Xanthe, I'm trying to remain optimistic about the Open Mic. But to answer your questions, if it ends, it ends. No one would probably take it over after us, so that would just be it. Yes, I could probably go to other Open Mics in town, but none of them are all that good in all honesty. They're just not fun like other ones are. But if it ends, I'll just have to live with it. Anyway, moving on... I went into town this morning with Ma because I had a hair appointment, and after I was done and had lunch I went into Greenbriar Music today (the place I got my new drums), and I learned that Todd Sucherman from Styx is going to be doing a drum clinic there this month a few days before the band goes down South, so I'm definitely going to that. I'm not a huge Styx fan, but this dude is awesome enough that I really want to see him do his thing. I also learned that a couple of good ole' boys from Germany are coming to Baltimore in a few months, and I don't care who I have to kill to get there, but I'm going  Oh, and pit tickets are only a hundred bucks! So yeah, I'm going to try and snatch up one of thems for myself

Good ole' boys eh? Rammstein is coming to Anaheim on May 17th at the Honda Center. and tickets are yeah...expensive. I hated paying 50+ bucks each for Katy Perry plus charges and S&H. I hope you get tickets. That should be a memorable show. I imagine the crowd in the pit are hardcore, leather daddy wearing, pierced, biker boot wearing, bald headed mofos.
I'm doing okay. Just hanging out before work. I like to take it easy in the mornings and be lazy. But I still have to put makeup on and do my hair and all that bullshit. Tonight! I don't know what's happening. The weekend is almost here though. Huzzah! |

Sorry I disappeared last night. I got a call from my friend Mandy and I ended up staying the night with her and her husband. I had a pretty good time, and I was glad I got to see them. I missed my friends
And I've got some great news! I talked to Doc last night and he's decided to go back to Hard Times and give the Open Mic another chance and actually put some effort into it to make it better. So yeah, I'm happy |

Today I haven't really done much of anything. I woke up late because I felt like crap when I tried to get up earlier, so I went back to bed
 Pops is downstairs watching the game, so I hijacked Ma's faptop and I'm hiding out in my room while that bullshit's on.
And I've decided that when I go to see Todd Sucherman, I'm going to take one of our CD's and tell him about the band if he does a meet and greet with everyone. I'm sure it happens to him constantly, but I just can't pass up a chance like this. Besides, you never know what might come out of it. Oh, just so you all know, I'm not going to be home on Tuesday at all, so I won't be around here that day. I fucking hate football. True story. |

The Open Mic last night was pretty amazing. We had a ton of people show up, and even a few singers came out. But Doc still says that if something dramatic doesn't happen in the next two weeks (either more regular singers or more money for the band), then the 21st will be our last night there. I really hope it doesn't end. But we're leaving for South Carolina next Friday, so I still have that to look forward to

I would love to go skydiving! It's something I've always wanted to do. It's just the fact that I'd be crammed up some other dude's ass that bothers me about doing it
I'm thinking about rearranging and repainting my room, but I'm not quite sure what to do with it... I know the walls need patching and a new coat of paint, even if it's still the came color, but I just don't know what to do with the actual staging. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have so many damn books |

What's going on with me? Well, I'm cleaning the house today because we're having company tomorrow. The problem with this is that I have the show at nine, but Pops wants to take these people and Ma out to a few wineries and he wants to leave at ten in the morning. So I have no idea how I'm getting to the show. But on the upside Amanda might be coming to the show, so that should be fun.
