Sorry I wasn't on at all yesterday, but Ma took her laptop to get worked on on Friday (they still have it), and we loaded a new Internet system on the desktop yesterday to see if it will work any better than what we had been using. So far it's working fine, but I've only been on for about twenty minutes at most, so we'll just have to see how it goes for the rest of the day. The show on Saturday went pretty well, but I'm still upset. We have no more shows at the 219, we've cancelled our studio time, and as of right now we have no shows booked at all for the next few months. We're afraid that we're going to have to call up the shitty beach places and beg them to let us play. We're at the point where we'd rather do that than just not play at all. I have no idea what we're going to do this summer. But enough of that nonsense- how are you all doing, my friends? |

I'm doing fine today.
I woke up late because I didn't want to study all day. Now I'm out doing errands.
I thought about the Blues Bucket pickle your band is in. I hope you guys won't have to return to the dive bars because I know how much you hate those places. You could try getting more gigs with those bands you sub for sometimes. Just play fill in drums. Also try to get more reception/party gigs. Convince Bert and Jeff to throw an annual summer blues jam at their house. anyway just trying to help you brain storm.

Drummer duuuuuuude!!!
Even though it's hard at times, try to stay positive about the bands future.Things will start looking up for you talented guys.I know the shitty beach places aren't your ideal places to play, the positive is you still have places to perform and people to hear your music. And thanks again for cheering me up last night! My face still hurts from laughing.

Well, that and the fact that my Internet actually works today
So for those of you who don't know (meaning everyone but Xanthe and Tiana), the band has a gig tomorrow at one of our old beach dives. Regardless of what I said before, I'm excited to be doing it because it's work, and that's the most important thing. I just hope it doesn't rain tomorrow and force us to play inside... It's in the afternoon instead of the evening, so even if my Internet works tomorrow, I probably won't be able to get on here unless it's late. I also started asking around about keyboard players while I was in town yesterday, and I've already got some leads to go on. Doc was surprised and tickled shitless when I told him that yesterday afternoon, so apparently I did a good thing by taking the initiative on it. So how are all my fantastic Prowlings and Prowlettes doing this week? |

I'm doing super fantastic this week Cheeky. I passed my test yesterday and made it through 2 classes this week. One more to go. Then I got nothing for this weekend. But I'll make up for it spending the weekends away and partying. Woohoo!
I spend almost every weekend away from the house and why not? I have to get my party on and be free. I hope things are going well on your end. And if you ever need to chat about anything I'm here for you. I don't always have comments to share at the moment you tell me things but I think about situations and I can come up with helpful ideas. My brain is slow. When in doubt think about awesome times that are to be had in August. It gets closer everyday.

Good news, everyone! We finally got the laptop back so I can come out and play again
The show yesterday went fairly well for the most part. We started in the early afternoon when there were people there, which was nice. Unfortunately it started to rain after the second set, so we had to wait for it to stop and a lot of people left during the shower, but we were able to keep everything dry and working during the rain and we were able to play one more set and load out before it really started coming down. But at least we were having fun, which was the important thing. At one point we just kind of stopped trying to be professional and we just started having fun for ourselves and the few personal friends who came out, but everyone else enjoyed it, and that's what really matters. We have a few more shows there this season, but I don't know when they are yet. And so you all know, I'm going to be gone most of this upcoming Tuesday and Thursday, but I should be on in the evenings. OH! And I have some important news to share... I am now an uncle...... To a Beagle puppy named Midas |
