No, no, I'm not paying for her gas for the date... What I said was that I'll happily buy her lunch, but I'm not going to spend money on gas for her to get there when I don't even know if we're going to like each other. Buying gas is something you do for a really close friend or someone you're in a deep relationship with--not someone you're going on a first date with whom you've only met once for about a minute.
Does that make me sound like a dick? And if it doesn't happen and she decides she doesn't want it to happen (or if the date goes badly and we hate each other), I guess I can always go back to trolling the dating sites and hoping that at least one girl out there doesn't think I'm a freak 
Anyway, I don't have really any plans this week except for Thursday when I go into town again to get away from the cleaning lady. And then there's the show this weekend, but I don't know a whole lot about it except where it is (far away), how much we get paid (nothing), and how long we play (90 minutes). |

Keith you have to be more optimistic. But not everyone is going to be your cup of tea. Just because someone is available doesnt mean they are right for you. Online dating may not be all it's cracked up to be but it's still worth trying. I mean it happened for you once right? I have given up on it completely but...that's me. You get out enough and talk to girls in town and at gigs. You will probably have the best luck with meeting a nice girl through your friends, Jess and Mandy or Samantha. THey have your back and should be able to hook you up. Remember girls like confidence and I know you are very friendly and have a great personality when you meet new people. You have everything you need to form a great relationship and be a caring partner. Plus you can cook! Just remember the best of you and draw upon your strengths when trying to woo women.
However this date goes remember there are plenty of fish in the sea and there is always someone out there you can be compatible with. I mean there must be 10,000's of asian girls around Virginia. Never limit yourself or settle. You want to be happy right? Work hard and go for what you want. |

So today was pretty tiring... Ma and I went out shopping for the day. First we drove way up north to run an errand, and that was a long drive. Then we came down a little ways to go pick up my sunglasses from Lens Crafters, and we ended up spending over an hour there. I dropped them off three weeks ago to have prescription lenses put in the frames, and they said it wouldn't be a problem. Then I get a call saying that yes, it will be a problem because of the shape of the lenses and that I need to buy new frames from them that they can actually use. Remember, I took in a pair a few years ago that were exactly the same as this last pair, and they put lenses in without a problem, but now they magically can't do it. So I finally find a pair of frames that didn't make me look like an idiot, and now I've got to wait at least another two weeks for them. Lens Crafters should really shange their "lenses ready in an hour" slogan to "lenses ready in an hour, but only if your eyes are near perfect". So yeah, that was infuriating and exhausting. Then after running around a few more hours, we finally got home at 5.30, when I immediately did some major yard work, completely cleaned the car (it was a horror show in there), then brought my drums up from the basement and loaded them in the car. Needless to say, I'm about to face plant into the keyboard right now. The one good thing that happened was that Ma and I went to go price hunting for a new mattress and box spring for me (my current set is older than I am, no lie), and we ended up walking out of there fifteen minutes later with a new set on order for me that's supposed to be delivered next Tuesday. That was the easiest damn thing we've done in the last year, I swear. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to having a bed that's both comfortable and quiet when you move in it. So enough of my bullshit, how are you all doing, my friends? |

But we fared better than Doc and Pat, who both got lost and drove around for an extra fifteen to twenty minutes each trying to find this thing. Anyway, it was just a weird thing. It was like a little mini Woodstock, but with just as much pot at the real thing. Ma didn't even know that they still made Hippies, let alone hippies that young. So yeah, lots of flower people who hadn't showered in a week dancing around in hippie clothes that only could have come from the 60s that we both swear haven't been washed since they were made. Ma said she was having flashbacks to old festivals (Woodstock included) that she grew up with and it was kind of freaking her out. Oh, and we'll probably be known from now on down there as "The Band That Broke Sharps", because about 20 minutes into our set, we lost power. The mic's still worked, so while they were trying to get everything else working again, Pat naturally went to his mic and did the bad red rope licorice routine from Wayne's World 2 But we got everything turned back on after fifteen minutes and continued to rock the place. A lot of people told us that we were the best band that's ever been there, which was awesome. Granted, most of them were high as piss, but it was still cool to hear

And not to sound like an old man, but it was so nice to wake up this morning without back pain for a change. I love my new bed. EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention, I heard from Tikarri yesterday! She moved to a new town and got a full time job, so she hasn't really been able to get online all that much.
