07/28/11 12:26 PM

Whoa .. 5 days since Prowlman posted.

It's like a record or something ..

Hurry back man! ..

.. It's hard keeping the lady NiNNies happy .. they're high maintenance! smiling smiley

I'll probably get in trouble for saying that ..

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!

Okay, I'm so sorry to all of you that I've been gone for so long, but we've been having a massive heatwave that got so bad on Saturday that it knocked out our power for most of the day and completely fried our modem. It still hasn't actually been fixed-the only reason I'm online at all right now is because I finally cracked under NINternet withdrawal and hijacked Ma's laptop and Air Card. The god news is that someone's supposed to come on Monday to fix the Modem, but the bad news is that I still have to wait until Monday for it hot smiley

I can't stay on for too long, but I will say that AquaPalooza was great for the most part. The power went out before we left, so I couldn't do my hair at all so it looked like shit when we left and looked even worse when we got there, and then looked beyond horrible by the time we were done. We played a pretty damn good set, but it was so brutally hot outside. And we had to meet an hour before our set started on the dock an hour before we started just to stand around in the sun and wait for the river taxi to shuttle us out to the stage. The upside was that we got flashed... A lot. I mean a lot while we were there grinning smiley
This whole thing is sponsored by a local Country radio station so there were a lot of Country bands there all day, but a bunch of people from the venue and the station told us that we were the best band they heard all day, so that was pretty righteous smiling smiley
After the show, Pops decided that he wanted to go out to dinner, so the three of us all went to Outback, and we were still literally dripping with sweat by the time we got home a few hours later. I can't stress enough how nasty it was outside

And I promise that I will be back as soon as I can to respond to your earlier comments. I missed all of you very much over the past week.
*Hugs for everybody!*

07/29/11 5:31 PM

*Grabs hugs* Noooooo, don't leeeeaaaaaavvvvvveeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

07/30/11 7:55 AM

Oh my Prowly what a lot of suffering! I also don't want you to leave sad smiley

07/31/11 12:24 PM

Yeah Prowler, the weather around us (I'm in MD) is oppressive, eh?

Well I just thought that I'd pop my head in for some appreciation since I hadn't seen you on much lately... Makes sense now.

07/31/11 10:44 PM

Thanks for the appreciation, everyone smiling smiley I really love all of you

Okay, so I'll try to give my review of Mayhem. I'm currently very tired and still sore, so please excuse the abridged context of it...

I went to Mandy and Jess's house on Friday so I could spend the night so we could all get up and leave together. There were a lot of people going, and we needed two cars to get everyone there. Unfortunately, a few of their other friends came over and we started partying and lost track of time. So yeah, I only got four hours of sleep on their living room floor while someone else took the couch who wasn't even supposed to be in the living room in the first place eye rolling smiley
I don't know if I mentioned this before or not, but our outdoor pavilion no longer allows tailgating of any kind, so the parking lot didn't open up until 1.30, but thankfully my cop buddy came through and got us an escort into VIP parking. He couldn't get us easy access into the pavilion like last year, but thankfully we were there so early that we only had to stand in line for about a half hour. And the metal ladies were out there in full force. My eyes were working overtime most of the day grinning smiley Lots of pretty ladies in very revealing clothes... Oh, and some of the tents were selling these little tops with shit dangling off them that a few of the girls were buying. They were kind of like bras with beads and whatnot sewn onto them and hanging off the bottom and dangling all down their bellies that jangled when they walked... It was a treat for the eyes and the ears grinning smiley
While the bands were playing the second stages, I found out that one of my friends was there that I haven't seen in a long time, so I went and found her and was able to spend the most time with her that I've ever been able to, so that made me very happy smiling smiley I've had a little crush on her for a while, so naturally I tried to test the waters to see if she'd ever honor me with a date, but I really don't see that happening. Big surprise there. I also took a boot to the back of the head during Suicide Silence's set because I got dragged into the pit when I didn't want to be, so I had to wriggle my way out of there
I thought that Machine Head was playing the main stage, so I left the field with the other stages early to go look for my group, and during that time I completely missed their set out there, so I was really pissed off when I found out later. But then again, I completely forgot about them when the main acts started tongue sticking out smiley
Trivium started on the main stage, and the sun was just starting to set right in our eyes, and it was so bright that I couldn't actually see the stage at all. Thankfully it was mostly down by the time Megadeth started, because I did not want to miss any of that. So yeah, Megadeth, Godsmack and Disturbed all had bitchin' sets and I loves every second of it. I was afraid that Godsmack wouldn't have enough time to do their famous drum battle, but I should have known better because it's another chance for Sully to shine grinning smiley
Oh, and there was a slightly tipsy lady there next to me with her boyfriend/husband who was dancing even more than me who kept rubbing all up on me the whole time. I was trying really hard to keep at least a few inches between us (it was quite crowded) the whole time because I really didn't want some weekend warrior in his 40s to kick me ass. But thankfully it was all good, and they even left after Godsmack were done, so I had a lot more room to move when Disturbed came on.

Again, I'm sorry for the lame ass review, but it's the best I can do right now. I'm still exhausted from the whole day. Maybe I can try again if the mood so strikes me. Now if you'll kindly excuse me, I'm going to go crawl into bed and die again. Nighty night, bitches!

WooHoo!! .. sounds like Mayhem was had .. good job Prowlman!

Scantily Clad Metal babes .. FTW!

So, who was your favorite band o' the day?? Was the "I love va-gina" tent there?

Venues and their no tailgating is BS. They do that so you have to go in and drink their $11 beers. Fu-ck That!! I tailgate until someone gives me a real hard time .. which really hasn't happened yet.

08/01/11 10:44 AM

It sounds like you had a blast at Mayhem. smiling smiley
Getting kicked in the head isn't so bad when you're rocking the fuck out. \m/
hehe.
UGH. It's Monday. Are you getting the modem fixed today?
My weekend in NYC didn't suck. It was pretty good. But today I need my evil twin to go to work in my place so I can sleep and watch True Blood dvds all day. tongue sticking out smiley

Yes, the I Love Vagina tent was there. That's actually where I met my friend smiling smiley There was also a booth next to them that was selling Dimebag Darrell merchandise that was actually run by his fiance.

And you would have loved it, Peace. There were lots of pretty and hot ladies there wearing short skirts and leather boots grinning smiley There was even at least one girl there wearing stilettos. I seriously don't know how she did that all day. I was wearing my super comfortable military issue combat boots that were broken 20 some odd years ago, and I still ended up with missing skin hot smiley

My favorite band of the day? Shit... I can't choose just one, so I'll have to cheat and say the three main headliners.

OH! And it was also the 100th Mayhem show, so it was a very special occasion. After Trivium, the creators of the festival came out and introduced their main team and got a roaring applause, and then they came out again during Godsmack's set. They were playing Go Away, and during the low part right before the breakdown, Sully brought everyone back out onstage (including Dimebag's fiance) and they all took a shot together. And you'll never guess who the girl was who actually brought out the shots...

It was the girl from theur first album cover! Yeah, she's still quite attractive smiling smiley

Oh yeah, a major blast was had by all smiling smiley
The initial kick didn't hurt all that much. It was mostly just a dull yet prominent thud, but I definitely felt it soon after.
And I'm still jealous that you found Trash & Vaudeville! Did you go in? If so, what was it like?

We're supposed to have a guy come out today to fix the desktop Internet, but I'm still waiting for him to call. If he doesn't come I'm going to be really pissed off angry smiley

I'm also upset because one of my old friends who moved out of state after High School was back in town for a week, but I didn't get to see her at all sad smiley But as much as I want to see her again, it might be a little weird because I actually met her because she was one of Piggy's best friends, so I'm afraid that if we get together we'll end up talking about her and I'll get severely depressed for a long time after. But I guess I won't know unless I actually see her some time.

Okay, enough of that. Tell me your weekend was, everyone! Did you all have a good time? Did you all get down with your bad selves?

08/01/11 12:24 PM

One good thing about end of July .. less clothes on metal babes!!

I know the girl from the first GodSmack album cover .. well, what she looks like.

And .. Aawwww Yyyeaaahhh .. from my phone.

Good news, everyone!

I'M BACK FOR REAL NOW, BITCHES! We finally got out NINternet fixed. As it turns out, it wasn't the modem that got fried during the heatwave, but the router. So we had to go out to Best Buy and get a new one, and I just got done setting it up and now I'm cruisin' the webs on my desktop smiling smiley I is a happy Prowler nao smiling bouncing smiley

Hi Prowler!! Glad you got your computer up and running again. Sounds like you're having an "Australian summer"...

Now you can chat with us even more.
About Trash and Vaudville, the store was really fun. It wasn't even that messy. It's more rock and roll than anything. You have to check your bag at the front and they watch you in the stores to make sure you don't shop lift. ><
There is bondage pants and pleather jackets galore. I even saw an Austin Powers like frilly shirt with white embroidered flowers on it. THey have skinny jeans in ever wild color. I saw a KISS apron, coffee mugs and pint glasses. I saw an Iggy Pop and Iron Maiden action figure. THey had a ton of badass hats. They have chicks stuff too like dresses. THey didn't have like S&M clothes, it was more mainsteam. So that was Vaudeville. Downstairs at Trash they have a wall of industrial black boots and Dr. Martens. THe jewelry was pretty badass with studs and spikes everywhere. My favorite was the tiny brass knuckles and razor blade for cutting your cocaine charms. XD If they weren't attached to a chain I would have had to get them. So the stores are very cool and totally worth the trip. I mean they're just fun. I looked at the t-shirts in Trash and they were old skool punk/80's like Souxsie (sp) and the Banshees and The Smiths. <3
If you're a fan of GG Allen you would love these stores. hehe.
The only things I bought were a tattooed apron and oven mit. I did see some cool black leather jackets and they were something insane like 700.00. yikes!
But anyway.

We should catch up sometime! You know if you're bored or something.
Have a blast at Hardtimes tonight!
Break a leg. grinning smiley

08/03/11 8:02 PM

Good news- I got to do some highly inappropriate things with a very attractive girl out back behind the bar last night smiling smiley

Bad news- I looked her up on FaceBook and not only does she have a boyfriend, she's only 16

True news- Everything I just said was a lie. I didn't get to touch any pretty girls of any kind at all smiling smiley

Wait......

Aah, don't blame yourself Prowly! you don't have anything to do with it. You didn't know she was a liar, bad girl! (dirty girl) Think that you were deceived and she took advantage of you (that's the way I see it) O.O
winking smiley
(Wuv you lots)

08/04/11 8:34 AM

You do realize that there was no girl, right? C'mon, this is me we're talking about here... There's no one in this state whose standards are low enough to touch me sad smiley

I got no gigs with the band this weekend, but I do actually have plans. My friend Lauren's mom is throwing her a surprise graduation party and I was invited to it smiling smiley Her mom was telling me about it and said that i might be able to find some "hopeful prospectives" there. I asked her if she was referring to gigs for the band or girls for me to date, and she thought about it for a minute and grinned and said "yes" tongue sticking out smiley
But I'm not holding out much hope for finding someone there who would be interested in me. If it happens I'll be thrilled, but I'm not investing too much emotionally in it. Besides, I'm going to see my friend and have fun with her smiling smiley

Does anyone else have any fun plans this weekend?

08/04/11 9:16 AM

I find it hard to believe: I'm sure a lot of girls here would do some highly inappropriate things with you here, me included (though I know I'm not your type). But I know that when we're shy, it's harder to find someone, especially that I live the same situation.

08/04/11 3:42 PM

I've only been to Canada once (many years ago for my Godfather's wedding), but I've always wanted to go again. Then again, Canada gave us Justin Bieber, and that's going to take some time to be able to forgive tongue sticking out smiley
It sucks being shy. Whenever I try to talk to a girl, I manage to never say the right thing or to do something completely stupid and make a total ass of myself. My friend Samantha actually wants to take me out somewhere like a bar, drag me up to a random girl, say "haaaaaave you met Keith?", and then just leave so I'm left there to talk to her. Yeah, I'm sure that'll end well eye rolling smiley

Maybe I should look into hiring a matchmaker or ordering a mail order bride... That's about the only thing I can think of that might help if things don't get better

Sorry, I'm being depressing again, so I'll shut up now.

Somebody tell a fun story to lighten the mood in here!

08/04/11 3:50 PM

Dude .. just remember .. You Are THE Man!!

.. And try talking less if you tend to say the wrong things .. Just be cool, smile and ask questions. Girls love talking about themselves .. between you and me. smiling smiley

No fun story but I am going to the beach in 2 days. That will be fun ..

Edit: Oh, I LOL'd at your Good News, Bad News story. You had me goin' ..

LOL! Some girls like talking about themselves....not all of us do tongue sticking out smiley

But you're right with the advice....just be cool and smile Prowler, then take it from there...

Yes, Justin Bieber is a shame, but Canadians are capable of very awesome things too, like this classic scene:

Exploding Head

08/04/11 6:59 PM

AngelHalo's right .. some as in most ladies like talking about themselves. smiling smiley Hehehehheee.
